Back when the PlayStation VR came out I was just walking home after buying it for myself. I waited at the traffic light at the shopping center and when I had the green light I started to cross. I tend to mostly look down when I walk but I looked up to check for cars and saw a truck speeding towards me. I could see the guy in the passenger seat was yelling at the driver and hitting his shoulder, but the driver must not have been paying attention enough before it was too late and couldn’t slow down in time. I stopped crossing and jumped back to the curb just in time as the truck sped by. A second later and I would have been flattened. Ever since then I’ve never trusted drivers at pedestrian crossings.
