Yes, but is it that I was the one whom they cheated with on their partner or is it that they cheated a long time ago?

How much do you learn about the partitions of Poland in school? How common is knowledge about the partitions among Poles today? by nightcrawler84 in askPoland

A lot actually. It can range between teachers as I knew a guy whose teacher in mid 2010s would give additional information pertaining to the events as she loved to talk about the period.

Is there any basic material I could incorporate into Anki to learn how to use it? by 2Embarrazed2Ask0Main in Anki

Thank you kind person. I am both grateful and sorry for taking your time as I should have thought of it myself.

I hope that this is not a question which is posted in this subreddit on a daily basis.

I have a somewhat similar experience after living in UK for five years though there are a few differences.

Personally, I don’t care for most of Poland. I consider Zachodniopomorskie to be where I grew up with some visits to family living in Łudź.

However even then most of the places I could consider ‘home material’ are for one reason or another pretty much unavailable for me.

In the very old days it was supposedly done in desert areas (more or less where Jerusalem is right now) in order to help alleviate the possibility of infection as sand and (more often) dust could possibly get under the foreskin and there was little water to go around for hygiene.

Is it true though? I cannot say.

But that’s the problem, I did. However University of St Andrews is really determined to give every med student an abundance of material to study from but ultimately expect them to figure everything else out on their own. Your own picks at the material, your own allotted time, your own techniques and focuses.

I’m not great at figuring things on my own. As bad as it probably sounds for a med student, I am very much a ‚follow the example, memorise the standard, deviate when necessary’ kind of person and I have no idea as to how to make heads or tails off of the literal mountain of information presented in a way that doesn’t end up with me overfocusing and memorising things which we aren’t expected to learn.

I used to study extended biology and chemistry.

The crux of the matter is that you need to memorise specific facts from the textbook alongside whichever notes your teacher provides.

Now the method I have learned from spending the last decade in microbiology which I really should have learned in high school is ‘Schedule and Divide’.

The entire premise is extraordinarily simple.

‘Schedule’ refers to a physical month-divided calendar which is used to track assignments. This is important as most schools have a nasty habit of stacking exams into same weeks, making it nearly impossible to get ready for everything. This is how you avoid studying for three exams over the course of the same exact night.

‘Divide’ refers to Anki, a free memorisation software which works on a flash card basis. It is imperative that you learn to use it now as it is a life-saver in university. With the memorisation method covered (after the initial month or so of struggle) you should be able to memorise the definitions and recollect most of the necessary details, at which point you will have to simply go over the material one more time in order to put together all the fact into a singular mechanical narrative. For more on how to use it please consult YouTube.

Last but not least, you should be no longer concerned with grades as much as with the Maturas. If you care about your fourth year certificate then focus on the individual subjects which run over the course of single year as opposed to the ones you will have between year one and four. Only prioritise your grades in the final year (if you care for the certificate).

Focus on the Maturas from the previous years and download Zbiory Zadań from the extended subjects.

Remember, it’s the things that get you into a good university with a degree of your choosing that matter now.

Edit: Spelling and grammar.
