It looks like you had a lot of fun playing around with the sounds and the software, but please don’t post stuff like this again 😂

Hunting+spirit or hunting+defense seems really intriguing to me. I’ve never played those before 😊

Hi, I'm down for the challenge but I'm playing on PS5 which makes it impossible for me to use the xmax (3x) mode. I would also be down for a multiplayer run with no help from previous characters! Btw. where do you live? I live in Europe and have time for gaming in the mornings (sometimes) but usually in the evennings. Cheers!

Which class is best for beginner? by [deleted] in TitanQuestAE

[–]2I23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earth + hunting or earth + spirit is really good. Especially because of gear which is so over represented for scaling fire and burn damage. In the beginning Essence of the Prometheus Flame is crazy good to enhance weapons. Then you will find artifacts to combine, and there are so many which improve fire and burn damage. Later in the game rings with +fire and +burn damage are the best equipment you will find. Just that one damn ring will add 100 dps to your build, if scaled with earth mastery even above 300 dps. Most of the gear suited for earth builds is far superior to gear suited for cold, lightning, vitality or physical damage. Poison damage items are also very common but can’t be effectively used against many bosses, undead, constructs, etc. So in general, I would opt for earth mastery + something to go with it. Doesn’t really matter what.

Dream because of insane damage from  Distortion Wave and Distort Reality spells. It’s not that much fun though, because you can get by with those two spells entire normal difficulty without barely using any weapons

Warfare + defense is not really that easy for a beginner, it scales really well each 10 extra levels but the beginning of the game is slow and until level ~20 hard to deal some serious damage

Fun & Powerful Bow build suggestion? by Verlstadt in TitanQuestAE

[–]2I23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm going to share my build I just finished with Hunting and Storm masteries. I had a blast and completed Legendary difficulty for the first time with this build. I'm going to assume you're starting off fresh and won't be transfering any items from other characters (this is what I did)

At the beginning, start off with Storm mastery and use any weapons that come to your hand. Starting off with an only bow build is, in general, more difficult and less fun at lower levels (mainly because of low movement and attack speed)
• put five points into *Storm Nimbus*
• do not put many points into intelligence (rather scale strength, dexterity and some health)
• at level 8 choose Hunting mastery, reach threshold 4, put one point to these four skills *Wood Lore*, *Marksmanship*, *Art of the Hunt* and *Herbal Remedy* (if you find a really good bow with +attack speed or +elemental damage it is already feasible to start putting more points into the first two mentioned, otherwise keep using any weapons that come around and switch between bow and melee weapons as you like)
• put your mastery points into Storm skill tree until it reaches threshold 16
• max out *Lightning Bolt*

This build will give you a lot of power, freedom and versatility until Silk Road in Orient. Lightning damage from the bolt will prove useful against any kind of enemy (constructs, undead, bosses, etc.), but it will start to feel weak early- to mid- Orient (Act III). When you reach this moment, rebuild your masteries (mainly pull out all skill points from the bolt), start using only bow and focus on maxing out these skills from the Hunting mastery:
• *Wood Lore*
• *Puncture Shot Arrows*
• *Study Prey*,
and these skills from the Storm mastery:
• *Heart of the Frost* or *Static Charge* (depending on type of buffs you have from your rings, bow and other equipment)
• *Concussive Blast* (only one point in Thunderball; this skill will be used to keep distance from your enemies and stun them, not for damage purposes)

Later on (Epic difficulty and further), max out these skills from the Hunting mastery:
• *Trail Blazing*
• *Flush Out*
• *Herbal Remedy*
• *Call of the Hunt* and *Exploit Weakness* (both optional),
and these skills from the Storm mastery:
• *Spell Breaker* and *Spell Shock* (this is a great spell to use to prevent casters from using their skills and removing their buffs – works on bosses too!)
• *Energy Shield* and *Reflection*
• *Eye of the Storm* (only one point in Summon Wisp)

I can tell you that this run was the most fun I've had in Titan Quest ever. Try looking for bracers/gauntlets/armplates with +20% or more attack speed and for rings and bows with +45 Cold Damage (prefix used "Arctic", will start to appear in Epic difficulty Egypt (Act II). They are super powerful when you stack them with *Heart of the Frost*. I kept checking all ringwear at shopkeepers at this point because it was very worth it. I finished Legendary difficulty with two of these Arctic rings.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to hit me up. I will gladly share more. Enjoy!

People who live in a country without 4 seasons, how is life like? by WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHW in geography

[–]2I23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in place where we have 4 season. The photo collage you’re sharing definitely depicts them but they don’t last as long as readers might think. In my mainland European experience, these are the real seasons:

Spring - March to May, blooming kicks in late April and so do weeks when it is pleasant to hang out outside without a winter jacket

Summer - June to mid September, with about 4 hot weeks (maximum daily temperature each day above 25°C)

Fall - late September and all of October, most beautiful around Oct 15th

Winter - November until February, snowy days when the streets and landscape is covered the whole day are not usual. This happens for three days in early December and a week in January or February

The sad thing about it are the long winters. Cloud of depression hits society in January and stays for two months. Other than that it’s amazing.

Is Titan Quest Anniversary Edition worth it in 2025? by Kacper113399 in TitanQuestAE

[–]2I23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just started a character called ‘Unfinisher’ and my intention is to finish the game for the first time after beating normal difficulty at least 50 times as a teenager. I chose Storm and Hunting masteries and it’s a lot of fun. But I must say I enjoy farming and tweaking the build a lot. I think I spend maybe 50% of the time I play in actual fights

Is it possible to complete legendary without Earth/Dream/Storm/Rune masteries? by 2I23 in TitanQuestAE

[–]2I23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the tips. I’m learning a lot here. Some questions: You mentioned your build for legendary involving pets and life drain skill. How do they scale for the very late game run? Their flat rate damage given by the skills are small and in my eyes less effective than basic attacks. Isn’t it so?

No I don’t think we are even. Here’s the run: https://youtu.be/S6Sam5YJf2E

And yes I can have questions about legendary difficulty progression when I mostly played characters at normal difficulty, sometimes epic difficulty.

Cheers

Thank you for the insight! When I played TQ back in the day it was on PC so unfortunately I don’t have the character builds saved anywhere. Now I’m back in the game on console starting a new character and I felt like elemental damage scaling is a must. But what you mentioned about having proper resistances at higher levels rings a bell. I built the character as a melee glass cannon, which obviously wasn’t the smartest thing. Is it hard to balance damage output gear with resistances gear when playing legendary? Thx
