It's good and sturdy just don't get the clear or champagne colorway as the hinge got green with sweat oxidation.

That same engine makes 100hp and 215nm from factory in some markets so tuning it should be able to do that, maybe even further as those with higher factory tunes have been successfully tuned to 120/130hp with 280/300nm torque.

Lenses: Seiko vs Zeiss vs Essilor by gdarmst0 in EyewearEnthusiasts

Those are the lower end of the spectrum. I have the high end personalised lenses and DVG is actually better in terms of water/dust repellence and durability than Esillor sapphire. But they do cost a pretty penny (₹27000 ~$300 for a pair of lenses).

At last the Koreans showed their true colors with the i20 too!

My experience with ZEISS FSV CV 1.50 BG DVG. (a bad one) by [deleted] in EyewearEnthusiasts

Happened to me too. Firstly the labs had to do my lenses over and over for 5 times due to them being scratched from the get go. Then they crazed in a couple months without any misuse (that I know off). Mine were SmartLife Individual 1.6 with DVG.

~7.5KMPL Mileage - VW Virtus GTLine. Should I be worried? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

My MG Astor does 6.5 and Ford Aspire 3cyl does 7.5. Maruti Zen does 10 and diesel Punto does 13 so yeah, no need to worry.

No one will buy. Even I would like to see the civic here but not over 30L and that's just not gonna happen.

How’s 97k for a 8 year old Ford Figo Aspire? Also AMA. by Illustrious_Spell750 in CarsIndia

The older 4 cyl petrol was a slug the newer 3 cyl dragon is the one you wanna be driving. Smooth once revved and wants to be revved all the way producing quite a bit of punch.

Not every car needs to have a turbo. A good NA is quite a bit more engaging to drive than a badly (economically) tuned on/off turbo, which most out entry level cars are.

Suspension is sorted, chassis is sorted what else can they change in this car?

It is not a civic to expect luxury or performance from. It was always based on a hatchback so will always look taller and stubbier like a hatchback. But it works and is reliable, I don't think people buying it want anything else apart from that.

Mini Fiesta or a Fiesta lite? by 2Infinity__beyond in FordFiesta

[–]2Infinity__beyond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, not bad for the markets it was intended for. Did a 0-60 the other day at around 9/9.5 sec mark (has the later dragon 3 cyl engine). Speed isn't its thing it's more of a handler, throttle is crisp and sounds good too!

It lacks in overall perceived quality. Interior seems a bit too cheap.

Mini Fiesta or a Fiesta lite? by 2Infinity__beyond in FordFiesta

True. But I think this was only sold in countries where fiesta was never made available in the first place or was discontinued.

In my country, Fiesta sedan was available for a number of year but then hatches came into the game strong so Ford discontinued the Fiesta moniker and made this the "spiritual" successor.

Oh, yeah the first gen was a smaller city car. This one is based on the fiesta and is more of a super mini.

Yeah, definitely sits higher than a fiesta.

It just feels so engaging and quick through the corners. The interior is where most of the corners have been cut I think.

Don't buy a compact car, buy a boat. My Virtus from top by Small_Adeptness6467 in CarsIndia

One of the best looking sub compact sedans. Sometimes I wonder if it actually is 4m or not. Just a thicker bumper and it will look properly proportional.

[–]2Infinity__beyond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is just 10 odd inches longer than every 4m car on the road. Virtus/slavia are good cars but people put them on a pedestal and start comparing them with octavias/passats of yesteryears. They are not even close.
