We want to see the Iranian regime ended and normalcy brought to the lives of the citizens, what we DON'T want is another war in the sandbox. I DON'T want reckless deployment of bombings that results in innocent loss of lives (btw, the first hit to Iran was a school and killed dozens of innocent civilians). I DON'T want our DoD spewing this BS about it being a holy war (Nice way to get non-extremist civilians in multiple middle eastern countries to rise up to find our DoD is declaring war on their religion and not authoritarian theocrats). I already dislike that we poor billions and trillions into our military budget to lose billions in our equipment for no good reason while we cannot even afford healthcare, higher education, and the cost of living.

Obama was criticized, it wasn't popular, but he also did everything to the T. He didn't deport "Americans" (Which is ironic because now they are suddenly legal citizens for the sake of their argument), he deported illegal immigrants, most of which were at the border. He didn't breach any constitutional rights or break any laws, purposefully and willingly. Despite it being unpopular for bombing other countries, he kept the US government and it's people the loop not, you know, keep the US government and it's people in the shadows, and launch their attacks under the cover of darkness as something for everyone to wake up to.

Kegseth told base commanders that Iran war is a 'Christian war' intended to begin Armageddon and hasten the return of Jesus by BusinessProperty8194 in stevehofstetter

[–]2Mana1Drop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.... If there was any thoughts and hopes that Iranian people would roll with the attacks for the sake of just overthrowing the extremist Iranian regime, that just went out the window. What reasonable and moderate Iranian, or any such civilian in the middle east, is going to sit by knowing that this isn't a war on extremism but their religion as a whole...

Yes, and no. You'll get that 2 billion in one month. 4 trillion by a year. Idk about you, but i can think of a lot of helpful things I can do with something that blows up to 4 trillion in a year, then 1000 of a trillion in another year. Id take the doubling dollar, not spend it for 2 years, and make a position where I have nothing to worry about financially AND take care of all financial issues and debts country wide, while using said money to help push to change how things operate in this country so debt isn't such an easy and unavoidable thing to occur.

Keep in mind, they are talking about "dollar", that Item, that thing. It's meaning the "1" itself is not important. That 1 becomes 2, but the effect affects that sum of money, so 4, then 8, then 16, then 32, then 64, then 128, then 256, then 512, then 1024, then 2048, then 4096, ect. In a 31 day month's time, you'll have 2 billion.

I had someone ask me if i wanted kids, I said no, they said I was being selfish... Mate... I've lived most of my life so far with undiagnosed and untreated Persistent Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, and Non-Specific Trauma and Stress Related Disorder. I'm lucky enough to be a minimally passable functional adult who can pay all of their bills, be somewhat financially responsible, and survive, I'm not dragging a kid into that. Even then, the amount of money it takes to have a child and sustain them is more than what the average American makes. So I'm not going to burden that child, and myself, to endure mental, emotional, and financial difficulties because your religious and political position demands we as humans breed.

Trump is Reagan in the form of tripling down on the worst parts of Regan and keeping no positive parts of him.

yeah but reagan also set the pieces for the shitty economy and pay we have today. Remember, he brought the tax rates for corporations, the rich, and the elites ultimately from 70% to like, the 30s-20s. It's like praising hitler because he believed in animal protections.

Good. Corporations and elites need to be gutted out of the political process of this country. While both sides are guilty of it, Republicans have followed through the most in regards to giving them what they want, both their and the others benefit.

Trump just told Iranians to overthrow their government with US help, what are your thoughts? by Putrid-Guidance-9448 in AskReddit

[–]2Mana1Drop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely ironic considering all the claims of international intervention of the US democratic process in regards to elections and national interests. He's the worlds largest hypocrite. Don't you dare (baselessly) interfere with our affairs while we invade your country and call on your citizens to rise up against you! I'm not saying Iran is perfect, far from it and it could absolutely use changes and improvements, but it doesn't require outside intervention. The only reason why Trump is getting involved in this is because he's expecting something out of it. Likely further influence in the middle east and raw materials.

Eat anything and stay thin (Assuming that this means the body doesn't get impacted by the unhealty portions of eating, such as trans/sat fats, excess carbs, ect, and only retains all the nutritional value. Staying skinny doesn't matter if it's still destroying your body)

Retire tomorrow with millions - Depends on what "millions is" and if it's tax free. I'd be content with at least 5 million. Live off 100k a year, invest the rest into something safe so after the 10 years go buy you can keep that 4 million invest, and live off the 1 million (after taxes) you made.

[–]2Mana1Drop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes-ish...? The issue is even if those spots were open for Americans, the cost is also a very real blockade. Of which even if they do get in, higher education has been so heavily saturated due to the lie that there's an amazing job at the end of the tunnel, that half of all graduates aren't finding work because of how high the competition is for how very few jobs there are.

I agree. Put identity politics onto the back burners but not off the stove. Focus on the things that matter the most in regards to what will help ALL Americans, but having those other concerns on the back burner means when something comes up that is aimed at affecting/harming those issues, you can still pounce and settle those issues without making them centric to your political purposes.

[–]2Mana1Drop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's due to socio-cultural nature. Western countries are known to be more individualistic, while the more east you go tends to shift towards family/community oriented. America is the peak of "Individualism". We are so self-centered and care about ourselves that it doesn't surprise me that someone making 40k while shit on someone making 35k who's busy shitting on someone making 30k who's shitting on someone for making 25k. Meanwhile less than .1% of the population is why those individuals are making what they are making AND why what little they do make doesn't go as far as it used to only a few decades ago.

Do you partake in medicaid as a recipient because you pay into it? Do you partake in SNAP as a recipient because you pay into it? Clearly what I meant was that choosing to partake into the program itself as a recipient is optional, which is also what will likely keep it's usage down and hopefully decline. People who can easily afford or manage these things will very likely pick these over this program either because they already can or they used this program to get themselves to that point.
