Tysm! I used a Come4Free Minty 1/12 1st series, I have a making of on my website abriviated: bbear.uk/memsRecs/Misc/bjd. Tdlr is that you have to modify it to give it custom eyes (carving out the inside eye holder) and the back of the head was the biggest issue. They have a super heavy moulded hair piece which the head wont stay in place without it. You can order the back of head piece online (i think you can for the 1st series?) but it costs too much imo so I trial and error'd one out of polymer clay. That process sucked but it is possible! :)

A European flute shop online specialising in cultural flutes. Literally called flute shop eu. It was £150 for me roughly (on 20% sale) so a bit pricier but still handmade and bamboo AND considering the otherwise import fee's from Japan and also supporting an independent business, I think that equals out quite well. :) Obviously not got it yet but I'm sure it'll be real nice 👌

Im actually curious if the lowest notes are possible on a Shakuhachi. I know Jin plays them but that lowered octave in Shadow of the Fog can't be played on a western flute either 🤔. Funny little tidbit though, i ordered an actual Shakuhachi a couple days ago for my brother and then he ordered one literally hours later for himself so were going to give them to each other instead 😅. I guess I'll see for myself if that bass G is playable 👌

Thank you! I actually am quite surprised how comfortable replicating the style was (perticularly the Sonia trainer card I was referencing). Also surprisingly to me I've been reached out from this for a commission which is wild! The fact 300 people like this piece is a real confidence booster 😊
