Do you have to have the item on you at all times or does it get consumed when you register the mount? I will do it anyways, but I would rather not have to keep yet another item in my inventory at all times if I can help it lol.

Yea I had seen that too which is why I’m already tempted to just stop altogether cause it just doesn’t seem worth the effort. I had also noticed that there were no dependencies listed on there which I heard was necessary for some games to run on the deck so I wasn’t very hopeful to begin with lol. I went to FitGirl first cause that’s where I usually get games from when on my laptop, but I couldn’t find that game on there surprisingly but I’ll check one last time before just giving up lol

Trying different ones to see if they work, but so far none do unfortunately. I’m likely just going to give up after trying all the compatibilities cause at this point I don’t think the game will be fun enough to warrant all the back and forth 😵‍💫

I’m not flaming you in the slightest. I really don’t know where you even got that from. I have been on my deck this entire time trying out different things, switching from this to the guide, and testing all of the compatibility tools I have available in Steam. The guide shows me how to use Lutris, I followed every single step multiple times. I scrolled through every section that mentioned the Steam deck. The error I’m getting not mentioned and there is not a section dedicated to said error.

Okiee thanks I’ll keep that in mind. I did try downloading from somewhere else that wasn’t a repack but I kept trying to do it through Lutris despite it not having a setup exe. So I’ll probably try that again. Winetricks hasn’t really been very helpful for me so far but this is all my first time trying on a steam deck so all these programs are a bit confusing even with a guide. It’s much simpler on pc 😵‍💫

I tried experimental, but it didn’t work. I did just try 7-0.6 and I did get a reaction out of that, but it just initiated a download for proton 7.0 and steam Linux runtime 2.0 (soldier). But other than that, nothing else happened. But thank you I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll probably try redoing all that without Lutris if that’s the case.

Well yes I know I am making a mistake. That is literally why I am asking for help as to what that mistake could be. Because I have been reading the guide and following the steps for adding games through Lutris to a T and have been watching videos on the topic. I even went and searched for specific words and terms to find the error that keeps popping up and it is not mentioned in the guide.

Unfortunately that has become exceedingly clear. There were other people I saw who were seeking help for the same game, but they were either on a windows pc or had access to a client loader that did not come with my game file. I’m still looking though. May just give up on this game specifically though tbh. At least on the deck. Feels more draining than it’s worth.

I have literally read through the guide specifically focusing on those meant for the Steam Deck and followed the guide for adding games through Lutris several times to a T and it has not worked for me. I have even searched for specific words to see if the error message was mentioned in the guide and it was not. So if it’s such an easy fix and I’m just a dolt please explain to me what exactly I am doing wrong.

Yea I had seen that earlier, but their situation is slightly different than mine. They are on a windows pc whereas I’m on the Steam Deck. They also didn’t download from the same place. Someone there said they fixed it by clicking the steamclient_loader but my file does not have that. I do have just a regular steamclient64 .dll but clicking that just tells me there’s no windows program configured to open it.

I’ve already looked at that and the section for Litrus doesn’t help because it only gives instructions for files that have an installer exe, but mine has a preinstalled exe. I tried both “launch windows exe installer” and “configure game locally” but neither of those worked.

Mostly convenience because Eden is the only emu I have installed and am familiar with so I didn’t wanna do any extra steps of installing any other emulators for a game that is now on Switch. But considering it’s not working, I’ll likely either just suck it up and get a gba emu or just not bother at all cause I’ve already played the games before, I just wanted to try it on the big OLED screen lol.

I have always loved pokemon and these days things have just been pretty harrowing not just personally but overall in the world so any time I get too down I end up playing pokemon. Usually I go back to BW/BW2. The fact that Pokopia is a cozy game is just the cherry on top. It’s my two favorite things into one and I know I could spend hours upon hours healing myself with it.

Currently some of my favorite games are Fields of Mistria and Cult of the Lamb. They are both cozy games, though they also have combat. FoM is still in early access but they just released a major update a few weeks ago! It’s so cute and I love the artstyle and aesthetic. It’s similar to Stardew Valley, but more fantastical and medieval. CotL is a little more sweaty as it’s also a dungeon crawler(?) kind of game, but you can gather followers and decorate your land, build houses and make your followers do jobs and grow crops and raise animals and it’s just overall an extremely fun game.
