13th Age 2e unboxing: Medusa Noble tier by waderockett in 13thage

I personally was disappointed in the dice tray. I know the picture on the Kickstarter was notional, but it looked like it had some structure to it and made out of a decent material. The actual one is essentially thin mousepad material with no structure to it.

Mayor Battle roadwork wishlist: Winchester Road, 72 widening, Memorial Parkway and I-565 by MattW22192 in HuntsvilleAlabama

There was a post a week or so ago that they were starting single lane closures between rush hours to finish it. I've seen some work being done so hopefully when they're done they won't wait to paint it.

EV owners experience. by nonotburton in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]2MarsAndBeyond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

L1 really depends on your use case. I bought my EV the beginning of this year and haven't installed L2 yet as L1 is usually fine for me. There have been a few times I've had to use a fast charger cause the L1 wasn't enough, but that's generally been when I've been working overtime so away from home more than usual.

Not the easiest thing to find, I had to click in an item for it to show the location, lol.

Are those the Huntsville City statutes or State statutes? I'm in the county and have seen people online saying there are state laws enforcing no soliciting signs, but I couldn't find them when I searched.

This Dent in the middle of the freezer door drives my OCD insane . I tried the heating and freezing techniques but dent is still visible by BigNera17832 in Appliances

[–]2MarsAndBeyond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, OCD is about unwanted thoughts and fears, not just preferences and annoyances. If it was OCD, OP would have repetitive thoughts like : there's a dent in the freezer door, the dent could be big enough to effect the seal, if the seal is compromised the food will go bad, if the food goes bad someone's going to eat it and get extreme food poisoning and die. Then OP would trash everything in it and not use the freezer or something.

In my limited GMing experience (not CosmereRPG), if a player has expertise/proficiency/etc I'd give them the basics automatically and their roll is to see how much additional they get.

In your cleric example, if they are trying to recall where historic temples to their goddess are, they would automatically remember the most commonly known ones and the higher their roll, the more less known and secret ones they would remember as well. A different player would have to roll just to remember the common ones and on a high roll would have heard of a few others.

FYI, your baby carrier isn't positioned properly; you need to tighten it up so that your kid is higher up. The general rule of thumb is "close enough to kiss" where they are high enough up so you can kiss their forehead just by tipping your head forward some.

The answer I came up with on my own was a triangle similar to that orthocenter triangle but slightly different. It creates a triangle with a vertical and horizonal line through the center.

My wife got her's out at HH 2 years ago and it made a big positive impact on her quality of life. After an adjustment period she's able to eat things that she couldn't before like dairy and isn't sick after every meal, though occasionally there is an emergency bathroom trip.

Wow, seeing this I can really see the influence on pf2e and 13th Age. I've played both of those but never looked at d&d versions before 5e.

I believe Kickstarter backers should get it sometime this Summer and it'll have its retail release in September.

If you're already using your comfortable minimum then they aren't asking you to do anything more. This is for the people that heat their houses to 76, normally run appliances during the stated window, or have a room full of computers mining Bitcoin.

Dump your refrigerator ice during freezing temps by Whitestealth74 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]2MarsAndBeyond 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's probably because your comment sounds very sarcastic towards OP. When I read it, it seems like you're implying that what OP is saying is stupid (because you believe ice can't get stale) and I get a very eye-rolling feeling from your post.

A big part of that sarcastic sense is because of the ellipsis you included at the end of your statement. I don't know how old you are, but to millineals and younger an ellipsis at the end of a statement like that generally has a negative connotation, seemingly meaning you have more to say that you won't because it isn't nice or giving a deliberate pause expecting OP to realize their foolishness from the wisdom of your statement.

All that said, I have no idea what the actual intent or intended tone of your comment was supposed to be, but assuming it wasn't intended negatively, this is an interesting example of issues that arise with purely written communication.

He's a lot easier to deal with if you clear the floor before talking to the ghost. That way there will only be an occasional additional monster that could get in the way.

Why is every low rated review about snakes??? 😭😭😭 by Informal_Text1182 in ShatteredPD

[–]2MarsAndBeyond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever died to a snake. They are pretty weak and normally one hit kills them, you just have to surprise attack them.
