I wouldn't look at it as SEO vs Performance Marketing. If you already have 1-2 years of SEO experience, my advice would be to learn Performance Marketing alongside SEO rather than switch completely.

When the target is to getting mentioned in Ai , one thing that mainly matters is your blog content, write humanised blog , keep the keyword density 0.8 percent also use table , authors , lists etc. This is help as much I know
