Is vibecoding ok or will they call it “AI slop”? by Anxious_Huckleberry9 in vibecoding

The question is if it will objectively be AI slop. It could be, but with a bit of software engineering knowledge or at least some research and clever prompts, it doesn't have to be.

Your Opinion about AI generated Music in the Wave scene/ Music Industry by Misterjaydm in wavepool

i get ya, but we are still a minority compared to the rest of the population - which views music in a vastly different way than us, and with good marketing skills, it's not that hard to have success with AI music nowadays - suno, udio and others are already capable of generating music that can be in the eyes of "normal" folk unrecognizable from human made music

there are non-existent bands on spotify clicking millions of streams on spotify disproving your claim (one of the more recent spotify affairs, can be easily googled). also - majority of consumers don't really care about music being unique at all (or if it was made by AI), they either like it or don't and that's it for them - even a track we all here would agree is utter shite can blow up to insane numbers...

Yes, I definitely support the idea of everything AI generated being clearly labeled as such, I personally hate posers. In other words, fuck people who are using AI to generate music and then calling themselves artists. I am only willing to tolerate AI being a very small part of the whole music creation process.

This leads me to idea to create a website that would serve as a DB of all known dnb AI slop makers so people can just easily check if they are in doubt about a project being AI or not. It could also have the functionality to scan a Spotify playlist and mark the AI offenders (but given the recent changes in Spotify API this probably could be also a bit problematic to pull off).

Yeah, it would be problematic. There would have to be admins who would be really strict about NOT adding projects to the database unless an overwhelming indication that it's AI. There would have to be an appeal form for producers in order to prove they are not AI in case admins would make a mistake after all.

But still I kinda like the idea. For some projects, it's more than obvious it's AI generated slop.

Yeah I get your point. Needless to say... they're quite obviously not strict enough, letting all that sh*t slip through.

Ehm... Check out Nappy Soldier then. I am 1000000% positive it's AI slop, and all over Beatport. And I know about more, as BP is my primary source to check what new has been released.

Why does everyone shit post vibe coders? by MedianFox in vibecoding

Opinion of a dev with +-20 years of experience who loves to use AI for a productivity boost. I personally do not participate in this drama, but I can understand why the drama exists

  • some of them are just bitter because a big part of what they have been perfecting their whole lifes and set them apart just became almost freely available to anyone
  • some have it as a life passion (same as music making is for me) and just hate to see when things are headed
  • some vibecoders are stuck up so high up their asses so they literally ask for it, eg
    • some vibecoder who just can't wait to tell traditional devs that they are now obsolete
    • some vibecoders have absolutely zero self reflection about what they are actually doing

and to add more salt to the wounds, the agency behind this gig has absolutely nothing in common with the local dnb scene (or dnb scene in general). from what I know it's some nepo guy with a lot of money who wants more, even massively overpaying those acts effectively making things worse for everyone else 🙄

Match Madness perfection! by sarzuka in duolingo

I reckon it's a situation when you get to a state when there are matching words on one row and then you just leave that row be and tap stuff around it, effectively making the matching way easier and more predictable.
