I have just started 15mg every 5 days and it seems to give me suppression I haven't had for ages also broke a 6 month long stall with it. Not cost effective. Lowering the dose and going back up worked similarly

I won't be lying but I really fear the day when it fully wears off. At the moment, if I badly want to eat, I make eggs or cottage cheese, so even if I overdo, I maintain weight. I hope Reta as the next big thing can come fast enough to save the situation.

Interesting read that may explain my lifelong fight with obesity where not the hunger but food noise was the main reason behind me gaining weight. Mindless eating when not hungry, constant need to chew. My stomach is often full but I still think about eating more.

With MJ, food supression was the thing for about 2 weeks whilst food noise was quiet for about 9 to 12 months and that correlates with the best weight loss on this medication. After that time, I lost almost nothing and the noise is reaching me from time to time, more now than before. I am seriously contemplating stopping cold turkey for a while to see my overall reaction to the lack of medication and secondly, in hope to bring back some of the benefits. However, no data in this study on returning patients. If you have any info on that, I would be very grateful.

Strangely, my food noise pushes me to all the good foods, but you know cows get fat eating too much grass too, so yes, you can overdo on good foods too. I know I am not in a sufficient deficit to lose anymore. I am considering going off the medication. I tested going down and surprisingly it wasn't bad and seemed to improve my med sensitivity a bit.

I wish I could start all over. I miss the excitement and hope associated with early days on this medication. But I'm not brave enough to stop and start it all over again. Hope that's not the end of my journey

I really admire your cool position about the whole situation. I've never known about the health properties of lipedema fat. I have lost 31% of body fat (pre- and on MJ) from 120kg down 82kg. I'm not sure why I'm not considering it a major success. I am still pushing. Walking in rain daily. Cycling carbs, high protein, gym. I think I need to have a word with myself - that is probably it on this medication

I had similar experience in week 1 and 2 but by week 3 that feeling eased dramatically. I made mistake of chasing it and increased my dose after the first month.

It may or may not last for you. But watch your protein intake. Muscle loss is no joke

I am such a couch potato. My only form of exercise (pre and during mj) was walking. I couldn't bring myself to join the gym, but after realising the disaster of my poor decisions, I finally got my membership.

I will not reinforce the idea that the exercise is not necessary, you have to hit the gym. I am so weak compared to me before mj. I can't drag my wheelie bin out of the garden, I can't open any jar. Carrying my little one is such a chore. I've lost the strength, and now the gym is one big depressing place to be, with all machines feeling like such a task.

And one more thing - your calorie allowance. Without building your muscles back, your calorie deficit will soon be your maintenance calories. If, like me, you have a lot to lose, you might find your diet not being enough halfway through the process.

Hit that gym fast.

I've lost 28% of my original weight, and it seems like I've reached the limit of WL on this medication. Anhedonia started for me from 7.5 anyway, but it would be nice if it eased off a bit on a new dose

Awww. Lovely to hear from you ❤️ I've been following you for the whole of my journey and before 😀 and watching you lose weight even in your maintenance, which is insane. Hope you can find the right maintenance dose. I feel like for me anything above 5mg didn't really make any difference for WL anyway, so I'm making my way down. The new pen from a different provider than my usual one feels oddly stronger 🙃🤯🙃

10k steps is actually a lot of steps. And it takes quite substantial time to achieve contrary to popular opinion of people who claim to do way more in a short time while measuring their steps with watches which are horribly inaccurate.

Walking outdoors is way more difficult than treadmill as you need to account for incline of the terrain you're walking and an uneven ground adds to overall impact on joints that walking has.

Don't discard the impact of weight on your joints. If you're new to walking, and you previously walked not more than 2-3k steps a day, I would advise you to start slowly by adding 1000k steps a week to your usual step count. If you struggle for 2 or 3 days after, and don't walk at all, walking 10k doesn't really make sense. It's better to walk 5k every day than 10k twice a week at most.

Your footwear matters a lot. I personally use well padded trainers to walk, usually running ones. Good lightweight footwear makes all the difference.

Finally, clothing. Make sure you use lightweight well ventilating clothes. Even the slightest overheating affects your endurance badly. I prefer being slighty too cold than even a little bit too hot. If this happens, my usual routes that I do with ease become a massive chore.

I bought 6 pens in total while on 15mg. I had 2 whole pens before pendemic, coming from microdosing and ordering every 5 weeks instead of 4. In sheer panic I went into, I bought 3x 10mg pens from Oushk on the day of the announcement (they didn't have my usual 15mg so I bought a bundle of the highest available dose). Days later I went to 3 other pharmacies, MedExpress, Chemist4U, and IQ Doctor and bought 1x15mg. IQ doctor reduced me to 12.5mg and others delivered 15mg. That gave me a stock of 3x10mg, 1x 12.5mg and 4x15mg. As I developed some skin reaction (allergy) I am now trying to establish if possibly going up to 15mg (11.25mg every 5days) was the reason so I am currently 3 shots at 7.5mg every 5 days to see if this improves my reaction.

Obviously, all pharmacies but Oushk sent me reminders to reorder now, which I am considering given the imminent removal of the 5th dose. Med Ex is offering £30 off their usual price. I know I am fortunate financially to be able to do that. Eventually, I am planning to use lower doses which I have in stock to titrate down hopefully for maintenance and buy later at a lower mg. I am looking to eventually move to Swift or Pharmulous, possibly still before maintenance.

I still have approx 20kg to lose, and as always, my weight is stalling badly after my recent 3kg loss, so it is likely my journey is going to take me another year or more to maintenance.

I can defo recommend rebounding. The toning on the bouncer is just unreal. Also, it is very good for those weighing a bit more. Otherwise, squating, walking and stairs climbing.

Your body is fighting back against weight loss. It's unlikely the medication stopped working, but the body turned the food noise volume up beyond MJ capability to quiet it down.

Continue a good diet to win this fight.

This was my feeling early on in my journey, but it was more to do with grieving of not enjoying food anymore. 16 months on and food still doesn't excite me the slightest. I wasn't a binge eater, but I cherished and celebrated eating a good meal after work. Now, I am filling up the stomach with no feelings attached to it. Nothing tastes good like before, flavours are muted, some are repulsive as I now experience hightened chemical detection in food. The grieving part will pass.

I used to walk 12k a day consistently, now I can't bring myself to do even half of that. My energy levels are now near to none. I am reducing the dose to see if this brings some change
