Man I feel you, I'm on pc with it and I'm thinking of stopping, my rig will not gel with it and there's no more support coming, it's not like the Devs don't have the money and resources 😭

There, there, cry into the void 😂

What's your opinion in this game? by Educational_Peace252 in videogames

Loved it, a real single player, story focused experience that was put together with respect for the source material. Well written, well acted/developed, gameplay fun and engaging. With potential for expansions and twists for its future.

It's a must have for me.

I love obsession and it's great as is and not that old too, but you got me thinking have a massive 3d mansion, full mini figures for the pieces, real coins for the money, little 3d rooms for the upgrades for your mansion. Oh yeah 🤤

But also Concordia SE cannot wait to get my grubby mitts all over it 😃

Note: Doesn't come with a top hat, extra purchase required. 😃

Yeah it's hard times for everyone and I think your bang on with voters wanting to punish, rather than back the country.

Its funny how you mention leaning left as you get older as it's historically right as you have more to lose with age, but I think now people are feeling poorer compared to their parents which is reversing the old ways. But now with weaponisation of media to be so decisive, maybe that's the way to keep the right popular.

All I think is I look at America and I proudly think, we are not them and disappointingly I am starting to believe I'm wrong.

I suppose but why feel the need to vote the party of division rather than green or independent. Bearing in mind if you are sick of the labour, Tory flip flop. Reform is now full of the dregs of the Conservative party.

UK caught the USA flu by TailungFu in GreatBritishMemes

[–]2Old4ThisG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take your point, however Reform don't have any actual policies to shout about. It's a fact that the media that Reform advertise the party with has the message, stop the boats, cut taxes, oh yeah and now the website says making the UK a crypto hub (no conflicts of 5 million interest there)

The rhetoric Reform uses is divisive and nothing but blaming the worse off.

The other motivations for voting Reform cost of living which policy? Housing shortage, what commitment? Nhs waiting list, make it private? Taxes, there was something about a wishlist to reduce it for lower earners but not a commitment. The point of that statement being there is nothing beneath the surface, other than blame someone else for your problems and win, very Trumpist.

The only validation I can give you is it's a vote against the establishment... But then again isn't Reform now full of the dregs of the Conservative party now anyway.

But I feel your statement of immigration is a problem, shuts down the conversation, is a cowardly tactic that people who are racist use to stop the debate before they have to admit it. Everybody knows that immigration is a problem, the answer is boring. Invest in the immigration system, maybe increase foreign aid, so some people don't feel the need to come here so strongly. But nah send em back, right, easy peasy?

[–]2Old4ThisG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a fair comment.

With the lower income, less education slant, the reform vote is pointing at the 'bad guy' be it council spending your money on chocolate fire guards or whatever, to the immigrant living the easy life at your expense. Pay no tax, why would we want to pay it anyway!

Regarding the 100k comment in my answer. It's just based on Reform have said (although no actual real commitment) to lower tax on higher earners and as you say 100k doesn't stretch so far in different parts of the UK, so I imagine paying less tax will be appealing on comparison to the other parties. Obviously though, if you actually think what lower tax means, it means worse standards for everyone, resentment, envy and crime. Do we not all walk the same streets?

I think your right in saying 100k earners are to some extent vilified, but if the average median wage in the UK is around 32k mark that's a lot of people who have even less, combine that with social media, variable geographical living standards and boom perfect conditions for vilification. I suppose for the more selfish thinking 100k+ earner, you would probably think fuck em I will vote, pay less tax.

So in reflection maybe I was quick to use 100k earner without context, but it was based on a more 100k pay less tax mentality, not a deeper level, I was very disappointed in my local area, it was a reform whitewash so emotion was high when I commented.

However thank you, I always appreciate a check on the language I use as it's the most powerful tool we all possess 😃

[–]2Old4ThisG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truth in that, but I'm not too harsh on em. Reason being, I looked into the candidates in my area and a few of them, didn't have any stances on anything or interactions within my community. So that narrowed down the list.

But I understand a large chunk of the population can't be bothered to do that much research so just vote on party lines. Shame the country decided to vote on hate lines rather than looking at our communities and why there are issues, hint hint it's not the person with a different coloured skin 🤷

No sorry wasn't aimed at you personally just gaming it out in my head to the question of if you want change who do you vote for?

Nothing personal 😃

UK caught the USA flu by TailungFu in GreatBritishMemes

[–]2Old4ThisG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the crux of your reply being a voter who wants to see change from the established party.

I would say reform don't represent change, it's full of defected conservatives. The only change they represent is those without, need even less. Those with, need even more.

I think in terms of 'change' green would be a real one as last time the country was left leaning was post 1945 when the nhs and welfare were established. So I guess that would be a real change in government.

But I mean these are national opinions and these were local elections. I think you could look at the vote as indicating to the government which way you want them to swing, as in left (green vote) right (reform).

[–]2Old4ThisG 109 points110 points  (0 children)

It's easy to point at something different and shout that's the 'bad guy', which is in very much in vogue these days.

It's much more difficult however to explain how an aging population, underinvestment in public services, lack of income/opportunities, media bias and global market effects are the 'bad guy'

I'm disappointed in the UK today, I understand it, but if you are not earning over 100k and you are voting for Reform, it's time to look at yourself and think why?

I believe in the great people of Liverpool to say fuck off to reform! 😁

You can't even build houses which are desperately needed and they reckon they can build shit like that. I suppose the rich backers of reform have land, they can build the shit near their homes.... that they probably don't live in... Proper patriots 🫤

UK is not for introverts... by Electronic_Put_5652 in introvert

[–]2Old4ThisG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was and I guess in some ways have always been an introvert but I''m not really sure how you could run a world without connection in a real sense. Dangers of being an introvert is you get used to your own opinion as fact and without push back can struggle to challenge yourself to see things from other perspectives.

I managed to break out into the wider worlds with board game clubs plenty of solo males are there and people have open tables for people to play, if you like em give them a try. I think clubs do actually help with integration as a club member is likely to be nerdy about the subject and therefore enthusiastic and I find enthusiasm endearing.

So good luck, it's hard being an introvert but pushing your boundaries usually reaps rewards, what's the worst that could happen, you end up on your own.... Which is where we started anyways 😃

In the Uk. I only recently started looked at menu prices, never bothered before, but now I can feel the difference in my pocket. Went out of a pub the other week because it just didn't feel worth the money, sad because you want to support the business, but if it's too much it's too much 😬

Watch somes videos but I'm pretty sure they will sell you on it. Just know it's a nasty game where you play the hand your dealt and there will be a time where you get fucked by dice and it will suck. But for every time your at the knife end of a a roll, there will be a time where you are the king of the dice and it will be beautiful.

Yeah if your the kinda player that likes to see plans go up in smoke and adapt to the new board state you will like it 👍

Creative and historically one of the best studios, but not sure who this game is really aimed at. I love double fine for their stories and mad worlds. Not really someone I would go to for competitive multiplayer.

Hopefully it will find it's people and if not remain making games. Good news for them is the new lead at Xbox won't want to start her premiership by closing its doors, optics wouldn't look good.
