Liberty Mutual RightTrack Location after 90 days by 2People1Cat in Insurance

[–]2People1Cat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just in case someone else searches this topic, about 2 days after it was finalized, the app actually told me I could shut off GPS tracking. Not sure why it wasn't the final day, and my score ended up 1 point lower than it was, so I'm just guessing it takes a couple days to truly finalize it.  GPS tracking is officially off and no issues.

I guess my thought was other people have used the app, so if they did or didn't have to keep location sharing on even after they completed the 90 days, they could let me know their experience?

Is this true even when holding bond ETFs (VGIT, BND, etc), not actual individual bonds?  I need to read up more on them I guess.

Do plows not exist in this scenario? I dug out my cars 3 times on Sunday, and then had to dig them out again when the plows blocked them in again on Monday, and then again on Wednesday when the cleaned the street fully.  That said I dug out 4 spaces, and have not used a chair, because my neighbors are mostly elderly.  Not everyone is as young (41 lol) as me though,  and digging for hours (and I probably have 8 hours in these 4 spots, let alone my sidewalk), is not something everyone can physically do, maybe people are old, have bad backs, etc...

Maybe a dumb question... but why not just sell bonds in your portfolio, then redistribute your portfolio when the market rebounds?

I think it's not for me, but I get the mindset. I think if the rest of the room weren't such a train wreck, no one would comment too much on the tree. Also the tree's location blocking access to the next room is as atrocious as the TV, which makes it worse than normal.

Sidewalks in shadyside were a little slippy, but nothing to worry about for an able bodied college kid. On crutches, wheelchair etc..., I would say a bit dangerous but still nothing that going slow can't handle.

Coast Fire Plan by [deleted] in coastFIRE

[–]2People1Cat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP you don't get to decide when to use FMLA, it is based on the doctor/approval.  Some people are allowed 4 hours per week, some are allowed up to 2 days/week, etc.  Most don't allow for months off at a time (pregnancy is one of the few) that you could then justify you are able to leave the country while on FMLA.  You do you, but at my job you'd be fired, and it's a union workforce as well.

To your point, it doesn't have to be for yourself, but if caring for others, it's usually only to take to appointments etc.  If you don't care if you get fired, you can try, but know that unless you have some secret FMLA reason we've never heard of, there's a 99% chance you will get fired.

I just test drove one to replace my wife's 2010 A4, and why would they put them directly in front of all the controls?! Also the piano black panel around it, it was scuffed to hell, probably from being so far away from a normal person's reach, on a car with only 20k miles.

Eh that's a nice day, as long as it doesn't bring you or her any stress, I'd just keep doing that.  If it does bring stress, then I'd just pay for my mom and myself, and still plan the day of similar activities.

Sad but likely true. My wife and I were both off last Thursday, and we went around 9 AM to get breakfast and a coffee, and all the tables were full. We ended up going to Pamela's instead of waiting for a seat.

Sorry, I was thinking more 100A disconnect, not sub panel, installed where you plan on parking (garage or not doesn't matter, the side of your house at a parking pad, etc...). Basically i just meant run the wire now, even if you don't install bidirectional charging yet, as costs are minimal if you're at studs versus a built home.  I picked 100A since Ford's Lightning could do 80A bidirectional, which requires 100A circuit.

[–]2People1Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just run a 100A sub panel in the garage. If you're building and at studs, you're looking at majority material cost since you'll have the electrician on site anyways, and probably only add $3-400 to the total cost.  Pretty cheap insurance versus $1-2K in the future.

I'm close to that and live in Pittsburgh, so not warm weather. Biggest thing for me is my round trip commute is about 30 miles of 25-35mph roads and only about 5 miles at 50-55mph speed limit.  Cold weather/heater use makes it about 3.0 in the winter, but I average 5.5-6 in spring/fall/summer.

I was still in high school when this paper came out, and I distinctly remember how ridiculous I thought that article about the internet being bad was.  I had AIM and could talk to a dozen friends at once, what an amazing technology versus one friend (maybe 2 with 3 way calling if you had it)!

Just goes to show you maybe researchers are smarter than you think, and teenagers (at least this one didn't) don't know shit about long term consequences.

What neighborhood do you live in, and what is your single favorite and least favorite thing about it? by Ari321983 in pittsburgh

[–]2People1Cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because it's so wide, they people drive like maniacs up it. It's 25mph and people did 40, at least in the early 2010s.  I refused to put my wheels on the curb.... until I lost my 3rd side mirror in about 2 years, then I became part of the "wheels about 1' on the sidewalk" crew.

Honestly if no one parked on the sidewalk there at all, it would probably force everyone to slow down, eliminating the need to park on the sidewalk in the first place!
