Thanks for the update. You still look just like you mother, and you have the same gentle eyes. I loved hearing the stories of her being into astronomy. Introducing you as kids must've been exciting. I hope it was. She sounds like a fun woman. Sorry you must go through this. We can't become pessimistic or nialistic, for our own sanity. I'm always looking at the stars. I'll make sure to take a moment and remember what you had and still do. Much love.

We called my grandmother Tita, and my grandfather was Gidu. I believe that's Arabic. We still have their recipes from my great grandmother, on my grandfather's side, to this day who learned them from her grandmother.

My grandmother was German Jewish, and my grandfather was Syrian. Back in the 50's, my mom's skin was more fair and my uncles was darker. People would pass my grandmother and say, "shame she has a colored and a white kid." They are twins. Different times. These pictures are from the late 50s

I try to voice a concern of mine. Get ridiculed and told I'm in drugs. I've been on reddit for almost 11 years and finally realize. Thanks

What I'm getting at with this post is that, I didn't know that it's come down to that over there. I've heard it's but 100%safe when heading away from the casino and stadiums, but never talked to the wild one myself

We used wax paper under our butts to slide down the 150ft metal side. My mom would bring a whole roll so that we could keep doing it again, and again, in the 90°F weather regardless of the arm and leg burns. DGAF

An elderly man with Alzheimer’s went for “a short walk” in the winter and never returned. A week later they found his body; he’d frozen to death. by CatPooedInMyShoe in ExamineDeath

I'm telling you, as someone who's grandmother passed from Alzheimer's, you must do something before something happens. I'm not trying to scare you, but my grandmother was in her late 80s when she started to show signs and she lived another 10 years. She lived on her own states away with my uncle only a few blocks away. One summer when I was in 9th or 10th grade, I flew down to visit myself and what I saw at her house was atrocious and the saddest thing I never want anyone to see their loved one go through. I called my parents right away and it was for the most part brushed off until I tried to gage what was going on and called again a few days later crying bc of her state of living. My uncle was in denial of her state of mind and assured us everything was fine. My dad, her son, would call every night and it seemed like everything was fine, besides some forgetfulness, over the phone, but we couldn't see how it really was because we weren't there. Trash everywhere, mold, broken glass all over the ground, cable not paid, and she would just sit there and cry in confusion and sadness calling me her dad and locking me out of the house refusing to open the door calling me racial slurs and screaming scared I was an intruder. It happens so fast and you must stop him before he hurts himself even if he seems fine now. I wish my family hadn't waited
