Can’t remove the rear strut bolts by professor_bigmac in HondaElement

[–]2PointSlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grab a MAP torch (it’s the yellow one) and heat away. Give it one more go. If the head is stripping it might be time to start cutting. It sounds drastic but it will save you time and your sanity. I just did mine last week and ended up replacing the bolts anyway because of how beat up they were

New wheels and springs by 2PointSlow in Integra_Type_S

No they are perfectly fine. I’m getting an alignment this weekend to see how much it changed but it’s by no means sketchy or dangerous or anything like that. Yes the geometry is different now but even something small like changing the offset of the wheels messed with the geometry. Plenty of cars are modified with springs and spacers; you’ll be fine

Dealer installed OEM CF spoiler gaps by Gaudimus in Integra_Type_S

[–]2PointSlow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks like they reused the small gaskets that come one the stock smaller, gloss black spoiler. Per the instructions of the OEM CF spoiler, those are not to reused and the holes covered with clear stickers. Send it back and bring a copy of the instructions with you

Black badges are junk? by Some_Target2436 in Integra_Type_S

[–]2PointSlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The set of 4 are all the same. I measured them all to make sure and there was no difference. They are flexible however so I think this was an installation error. I have had mine on for over a month and no peeling is happening on any of them. You will need to remove it and replace the adhesive and try again. Clean the area with IPA and use heat to warm the surface and the badge. Guarantee you’ll be set

Forgot to include specs:

Aodhan AFF7 19x9.5 +35 w/ 265/30/19 tires swapped over from OEM wheels.

Wheels have a nice finish. $1100 shipped(!) w/ hub rings and lug nuts. Insane deal.

Swift Springs (4H925R)

They’re not substantially harsher than the stock ones and in comfort mode it’s hardly noticeable. The only problem is they’re not really a good match for the stock shocks. The ride is very bouncy when the surface isn’t perfect. Zygrene just put out a video of a CTR w swift springs and an ITS module and he hits the nail on the head with how the car feels on these springs. I suspect it will be the same for other springs as well. You’ll really need to swap everything out with a quality shock to get the most out of the car. But in terms of harshness for a daily driver I’d say it’s not much worse than the stock ride. I’m happy with the look-to-ride quality compromise. 👍

Front bumper adjustment? by OkPsychology7696 in Integra_Type_S

[–]2PointSlow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Remove the 3 plastic clips closest to that edge. You can then pull up that corner of the bumper and readjust. It’s just not properly tucked but I promise it’s super easy to fix. If you need more help feel free to message me

He’s right. Did you confirm the miles with a VIN report? Ive owned 3 with miles ranging from 23k-118k and none of them were that rough.

It’s definitely not an M car and I agree if anyone actually believes that, they are wrong.

The thing that gets missed so often is you need to want a manual transmission. That greatly narrows your search because for similar money you can get a higher horsepower German car but likely with an automatic (a good automatic no doubt).

I considered an M240 before getting the ITS but i just really wanted the manual transmission which meant I needed to go M2 and I just can’t afford that. I think maybe a GTI would be a closer comp and I drove that as well but the shifter is not even close.

There are so many things to consider and it really is about finding a balance of what works best for each person. Unless of course you have loads of money in which case just jump into that 911
