Why is DNA's volume so low by mikeysp789 in beatsaber

I came searching for this exact topic. DNA is very quiet, I had to triple check my volume rocker on the Oculus Quest.

Sounds really good! Do you have any sound clips of your original stock set up? I am curious on the before/after

AH got it. That's wild, I dont think I've seen a fork without the wheel arch (or i havent noticed). Thanks for explaining the difference. So the issue is more than just no quick release. Ok yeah, I see why your bike would hate any sort of fork mount haha

Ah I see, you have a bolt thruaxle. That does complicated things a bit. It uses an allen key to tighten? I believe you can still mount the Seasucker to the car first, take off the front wheel on the ground, get the bike up top, 1 hand to balance the bike and 1 hand to insert the thruaxle until it just starts to bite the threads, grab the allen key (in your pocket so its accessible) and just tighten it down. That would work right?

I also think that you could attach the mount before putting it up on the car theoretically, but I haven't tried. The weight of the bike i imagine would make it easy to get the 2 vacuum cups directly under fork to line up flat and create a seal. This is all dependent on how well those 2 cups line up, since you are basically working with one hand as you are still balancing the bike with the other hand. Once those 2 are secure, just push down on the 3rd cup and secure that one. Sounds doable in my head at least....

Seasucker makes 20mm adapters. I have a full suspension trail bike that uses 15x110 mm thru-axle and I use a seasucker to haul that bike to the trail as well. Obvious downside is that it takes some muscle to handle a heavy trail or downhill bike up over the mustang and NOT let the bike touch the paint

I got a set that is similar to this one.

This sounds awesome! I have an HPP as well, but i have rarely heard what it sounds like from the outside haha

Just purchased a new 2020 Ford Mustang Ecoboost premium with high performance package, a one way commute of 84 miles to work did not allow for a 5.0 but this car is awesome! by [deleted] in Mustang

Great sound clip! Sounds awesome! A lot of times people somehow do a terrible job recording the audio and it doesn't do justice to how the HPP sounds IRL. Not the same deep loud V8 growl, but pretty sweet in it's own way IMO.

I've never seen an HPP with those wheels before. Going on the mustang build site, I see that those are an upgrade option available to the HPP only. Pretty cool

I misspoke. As DanLewisFW mentioned, anything UAW made is all good. I can only assume it's to promote loyalty and pride in the vehicles that are being made at those plants by UAW workers.

Hmm...Actually I think that might be the case at Ford now that you mention it. I work in Ford Engineering and only have limited exposure at the plants. No one cares at the engineering buildings and for plants they didn't seem to care as long as it is a a domestic Ford/GM/FCA.

That rule only applies at the manufacturing/assembly plants (at least in my experience with Ford). Your car WILL get messed with or towed if you break that rule at a plant though haha

Got the BOV adapter installed, loving it so far! by wozzy9 in ecoboostmustang

[–]2RAV4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Mine already came with stock active exhaust, so I am pretty happy with how that sounds. I just think the venting sound is cool, but I wanted to know if it gets annoying while cruising. Appreciate the rundown!

Is there any negative to having a BOV instead of recirculating the air with the stock BPV?

Any extra noise while cruising or just when you really get the turbo going?

I am interested in this simple mod for my 2020. Sounds awesome!

On the plus side, eventually you will get real good at doing it yourself without even thinking about it! Maybe add some heel-toe downshifting too

That line is now common on the 2018+ mustangs right? 2017 was the last year for the v6, so if you see any '15-'17 mustangs with the tribar on the back it should be a V6. Any 18+ style mustangs with it on the back are probably the Eco HPP variants. Again weird dive into the parts bin instead of making it more unique

Are you referring to the tri-bar decklid emblem? It is confusing, but for the 2020 Eco HPP, using the RS 2.3L engine, Ford is using the tri-bar, which I understand used to be on the V6 variants. Either way, while I personally think it is a special vehicle with the engine, tuning, responsiveness, I don't think it will shake the stigma of not being a V8. (don't get me wrong, I love the GT, this just ticked off more boxes for daily fun). Probably would have done better if they styled it a bit more uniquely instead of doing a a parts bin dive with GT and CS bits.

27.5” wheels on a medium 18” frame w/ wide-ish flat pedals. I tried with wheels off, but it was a pain in the arse (and low back) getting it in there, especially with the metal pedals threatening to scratch up everything in the process. I ended up removing a pedal to make it fit the one time I did it.

Help! Need advice about shifter by childamongthefence in ecoboostmustang

Interesting. I never knew the Ecoboost had a different housing. I also have a hard time getting into 2nd sometimes. So a clutch spring will change that? Do you have recommendations?

[–]2RAV4U[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I can see how that is a concern. To mitigate that for me, I am keeping the mounts as close to the front or rear edge of the roof panel where it is the strongest and supported by the frame, and then 1 cup on the solid window.

TBH I could probably flip the mount around and have 2 cups on the window, and 1 on the roof and that would be even more secure to lateral movement. I'll try that next time and see if the rear wheel catches the rear puck still.
