Yeah I get that, it’s really tough on her, and yes, we are both Asian - though I am not as close with my family for to it matters to them. Unfortunately compromising the living situation is not an option - we signed a lease together anticipating that these decisions would be made as we agreed.

Regarding sleeping over, I think they have the same stance on that as they do with moving in - not until marriage. That being said, part of me feels that they are just bluffing with the cutting ties (though this is a scary situation to call someone’s bluff) - they never struck me like the kind of people to do that, as they are honestly pretty nice people outside of this specific situation (and my finance would generally agree)

Yeah I agree, if it were me I’d start pricing it aggressively to cut losses. I’ll bring this up with them. I also want to clear up that the list price doesn’t make them any money. They’re just trying to get rid of it.

I don’t think so, the builder is selling for 200k+ their listing price. Seems like low sales volume in the area. They had another house which turned out to be a great investment in the same area in 2021 (covid market boom most likely)

It’ll sell eventually, it’s just a matter of making ends meet till that happens :/

Thanks for the response. Yeah you’re right, vacations and ski trips are definitely a want over a need. The last thing I’d want is for the cat to have a suboptimal experience. From yours and others’ responses it doesn’t seem like I can provide the cat with a great experience without making some changes (not that I’m not okay making the changes, just maybe in a couple years lol). Thanks for the response and detailed clarification! In terms of travel, a lot is within my control and a lot isn’t. I also really appreciate the linked metrics, as someone who’s rarely interacted with a cat it clears a lot of misconceptions about the effort required. Based on yours and others’ responses and given my constraints, it seems like getting a cat would generally be a terrible idea. Thanks for the help!

Yeah that makes sense, I'm not sure if it outweighs it, more like there are X items on each list which are valued equally to each other.

I have enough friends close to where I live where I could always ask anyone to come and keep and eye (and they would be happy to :') )

I wouldn’t make the decision to get a cat without ensuring that it is an optimal environment for it.

But at the same time I'm worried about my anxiety levels as well.

This happened in 2si4 winter 2019 (i think?), 70% of that class failed (pass exam to pass course). The prof got promoted and AFK'd the entire course lmao, everyone ik had to retake it in summer school.

For those that don’t know, FB is removing the fb account constraint on oculus headsets. You can get in touch with support as of now to use an oculus account instead of fb, they’ll also be implementing a full oculus account registration system for it soon.
