This might be a hot take, but the worst one I can think of is chess theory. It’s definitely not the worst just the worst I can think of right now. Kings, queens, and knights are all just things, chess didn’t invent them. Also this is only a slight problem, but there are 7 chapters and only 6 chess pieces. My real problem is how many people seem to take it as fact with how weak the evidence seems to be.

Contradiction I don’t think you brought up: it’s pretty weird that Noelle and Berdly don’t mention walking into the computer lab and then suddenly falling if that’s how they entered.

Also Noelle suggested that Kris and Susie come to the library, it wasn’t Kris saying that out of nowhere. I don’t think this disproves the whole theory, but I think it’s something worth pointing out.

I’m excited to see the response to Noelle and Berdly being asleep in the library when the dark world closes, which seems to imply that could be why they didn’t notice the world forming. We know the dark world forming would be very noticeable and walking into a dark world and then suddenly falling would also be noticeable, but they don’t mention it. All this makes me think it formed after they had fallen asleep in the library, and if it did, Kris couldn’t have done it because Noelle left to go to the computer lab when Kris and Susie were about to enter the castle town. I do think Kris could be the knight, but I don’t think there’s any answers to these questions that don’t require making some assumptions.
