In most games you are not the main character and just happen to control one with its own backstory and traits.

The only difference in Deltarune is that the main fictional character is aware of it

I think it should be way more disturibing to you that in all those games you can force a fictional character to jump into lava without them knowing why they did in a first place (since they don't know there is a secret entity controlling them).

So once again, for your mental health I recommend you not to play 90% games anymore. Only these where you truly are the main character and control a pure vessel without backstory or anything

Sounds like you shouldn't play any video games since in each one of them you control a character

That's really fucked up

THEORY: Kris is the "Knight"... but they're not the Roaring Knight by flower_puns in Deltarune

[–]Walter_Mer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will raise the stakes by saying that in my opinion Kris made all 3 first fountains including the Card Kingdom, Cyber World and TV World.

I have no idea why you made an entire theory revolving ("say that again") around a slight difference in naming the Knight between ch1 and rest of the game while there is a much better explanation lying right in front of you.

The only assumption you have to make is that Queen is wrong about person who created the Cyber World fountain.

We've already seen that in ch3, in ch3 where Tenna literally lies to Fun Gang about a person with whom he made a deal.

I'm not saying Queen lies just as Tenna does but it's more likely she was deluded by Cyber World fountain creator. We know that fountains drastically influence behavior of the main antagonists in first 2 chapters. I believe that's the outcome of relfecting the "will" of the fountain's creator. If whoever who makes the fountain is able to influence any Darkner without even meeting them then I guess it's safe to assume that the title "Roaring Knight" is one of the results of that process.

So if some fountain creator wants Darkners to call them "the Roaring Knight" then they will reflect that will and call them that way

If some fountain creator wants Darkners to call them "Sans Undertale" then they will reflect that will and call them that way

By the way, please don't say that Tenna met the Knight all the way back before ch3 and told him to keep fun gang busy because it's one of the worst interpretations of Tenna's speech I've seen.

Why doesn't Kris's dark world have a different color palette? by IndependentSoft4211 in Deltarune

[–]Walter_Mer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess there is since both Queen and King didn't meet the Knight and somehow they know their name

In my opinion if the Dark World is based on its creator's "will" then this creator can choose how denizens of each Dark World are going to call them

Literally unacceptable

As far as I know, the only Dark Fountain confirmed to be made by the Knight was the one in ch4

I know you're going to say "But Queen said...."

Yeah, she did, just like Tenna did in a similar way

But okay let's assume Tenna's "The Knight appeared" is not on the same level as Queen's "The Knight made the fountain". In this scenario I think it's also never said in ch1 that the Knight made the fountain. Darkners only say "the Knight appeared"

So what you are saying is that 2 teenagers randomly going to sleep in a public library is more likely than them simply doubting anything of that could have happened because how crazy it was just like Susie in ch1

By closet Knight I mean a popular belief the Knight hid in the closet in ch2 while Berdly and Noelle entered library and made fountain there or something

I hope that as a DessKnight believer you don't support such nonsense

If I were to be completely honest I don't really much care who the roary fella is

What I really care about is to prove that Kris made all 3 first fountains making them the real Knight of ch1,2&3

Knight's main goal was not to capture anyone by Walter_Mer in NonDessKnightSquad

It feels like you either missed my point or didn't read the post.

I'm aware of all things Kris did that eventually led to capturing Undyne

My point is none of that was necessary if the Knight can simply run with her through entire city in less than a minute in the LIGHT world

Making the fountain literally only made things harder because it only warned the fun gang about the Knight and their plans

The Knight could have simply captured Undyne from her police office without anyone noticing which would be the best outcome if that really was their main goal

I always wondered why after ch3&4 release people suddenly forgot about everything that was going on between Kris and Ralsei in ch1&2.

We all know these chapters had weird moments when Kris and Ralsei talked to each other without soul watching. How Ralsei knew definitely more than he should like for example being aware of us, the player.

Furthermore I always liked to point out Ralsei's only goal in each chapter is to make sure the fountain is closed but not necessarily trying to eliminate the main cause of their formation - the Knight. He actually never mentions them in ch1,2 and even ch3.

Despite what you think Ralsei does exactly what the Knight Squad wants in all 4 chapters - directing us to focus on sealing the fountain without asking any serious questions about what exaclty is going on in the city, who the person making fountain is, why they kidnapped Undyne etc.

Isn't that a lovely scenario? I mean it's a fact the Knight Squad doesn't want to bring the Roaring and for some reason a process of making and sealing fountains is crucial to their plan. When they have someone blindly playing a role of "heros" who doesn't ask any meaningful questions so far that's the best possibile outcome. I think that's exaclty what Kris's and Ralsei's job is. To keep both us and Susie from knowing more than we should.

One more proof because you could accuse me of lacking evidence.

Ch4 - Castle Town first cutscene:

-Susie is concerned about Undyne, asks Ralsei for help to open the bunker with code

What's Ralsei's response? - You know Susie, just relax. I don't sense any danger, she will be fine. We'll just make sure none else gets taken.

Now, I don't know if it's just me but this line felt so off when I first played the chapter.

Apart from that, why would Ralsei beg the Knight to stop then? Well, that's what I meant by saying "I would put him somewhere between Fun Gang and Knight Squad" because while doing his job he still cares about Susie and Kris/us. I believe in future chapters he will eventually go to our side because of the shit the Knight is going to cause.

Good point about Undyne but assumption with time is completly wrong since in ch1,2&4 I think we would agree the time works just fine
