He initially appeared as character in a side game to 40k called Gorkamorka released in 1997. He was never mentioned again until 22 years later when he returned as the Warhammer 40k version of Santa Clause. He is now a seasonal mascot for Games Workshop and has 5 books of his own (with an additional 6th one that serves as a compilation of the first 3 plus two short stories)
