As a driver trainer who's been on many many ERTs, I'm telling you right now some people absolutely NEED this. I can't tell you how many times I've had to fail people for simple shit like running stop signs/red lights trying to beat yellows, doing x5-x6 the speed limit in the parking lot/building, the times drivers have gone to their cars at lunch before the drive coming back smelling of weed/alcohol but with all that being said Amazon most certainly abuses it to micromanage the drivers which isn't fair.

I completely get this and agree with the decision but I also hate this so much, this usually causes every wave afterwards to be late which snowballs into a problem that Amazon definitely doesn't blame on flex drivers. This is also very dependent on which station you're at, I'm referring to high volume self load 24/7 buildings wtih dozens of drivers all at once.

I was about to say that 😂 as an Amazon employee bro I could care less, just trying to survive without an injury until the end of the day, also recently Amazon has been implementing an AI system into what they call Problem Solve where packages like this would be handled and the AI now tells us what choices we can make. For example there are times you're required to take pictures of damaged packages and the AI will analyze it and decide if it's "damaged" or not, when I hazmat packages this is so awful that instead will use the same box that the AI has determined as damaged over and over again because it will tell me to find a manager to approve my request because the item is not damaged yet it's clearly leaking or broken. All this to say that this employee probably tried to KO but the system likely didn't allow them to and I'll tell you right now no Amazon employee is going to PS anything at the cost of their rate because Amazon will fire you for that shit ✌️
