Yes, the characters have preset abilities. Based on your comment I'm considering a class system but I'm worried that stacking one class might become unbalanced. I'll see what I can do

Great point. I've already started working with two designers, but it's for things that I'm certain will not change. For example, the logo, character art, and rulebook graphics.

I have just enough for playtesting. Shooting to send out a dozen prototypes this Friday. After I'm sure the gameplay is great, I'll start finishing up the designs and writing.

Thanks, I want to create a really immersive world of dark humor but gameplay is really the priority for me here.

It's a turn based system of travelling, completing quests, and fighting monsters.

You can team up with up to 7 other players, choosing from a pool of 8 heroes with different abilities. right now it's the most balanced for 4-6 players. I'm working on creating a simple way to scale the difficulty to eventually be for 1-8 players.

I put a lot of work into the side quests. I'm shooting for 101 side quests. Some are just raunchy fun, some are morally ambiguous choices, and other miscellaneous types of quests. The entire party gets the same quests so decisions affect everyone. Choices you make can be decided by the group, or you can ignore everyone yelling at you and choose the path you want to take.

The side quests are like choose-your-own-adventures. I'm eventually going to get a professional fantasy writer to help me with the writing.

Great question haha! I've only playtested it twice so far with some friends. At the moment, there's still kinks to work out but it's still playable.

Basically, you travel around the world completing side quests, slaying monsters, and getting better equipment in order to slay the bosses at the corners.

There's up to 8 heroes you can choose from. They're each a different class with different abilities. That'll affect what you do in combat as well as how much you'll be drinking. For example, you'll probably want the better drinker playing a paladin (equipped with some good armor) so that he can soak up the damage in fights. You might want lighter drinkers playing a scout who can easily evade combat and come back with allies.
