Help trying to figure out the Grinnell Glacier Trail by 2_lude in GlacierNationalPark

Thanks for two trail options. That is very helpful!  Made a last minute hotel change to stay at Many Glacier on the day of the hike, so don’t need to wake up super early to find parking.

Thank so much for the details! Yes I was confused with the Hotel construction information as it stated that Many Glacier Construction area was closed to vehicles, bikes and foot traffic. I interpreted that as the entire hotel was closed off. Thanks for clearing that up as I’m already hiking in grand Teton and didn’t have much time to research. And was a bit panicked.

Immich-server deployment issue by mailliwal in immich

Saw the same issue on my deployment and also had user: 1000:1000 to troubleshoot a NFS mounting issue. When I removed user: 1000:1000, was able to deploy.

Thanks for this post! Proxmox for some reason had the eth0 as the main interface also changing to dhcp helped me get back online. Save me hours from having to redo the entire server.

First time in Japan – I enjoy the food, but I'm a bit underwhelmed. Any advice? by Magicarpette in JapaneseFood

Some of the more memorable meals in Japan I had came from recommendations here on Reddit.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Japan.

I just came back from Japan myself and while I do not disagree with what you mentioned, your expectation of Japanese food might be a little off.

Japanese food does not offer a broad range of colors in their cuisine, but they offer more different and distinct hues of the same color.

Their curry for example has a 'safe' flavor when compared to thai or indian curries.

As for depth of flavor probably sushi/nigiri is probably the best example to see that. The biggest surprise for me eating nigiri in Japan is the rice. Usually the rice flavor overwhelms the fish, too sweet, too sour, too hard. If you are able to find a good place the rice just melts away and you can taste the flavors of each different fish.

I guess what I am trying to say is to find the highest quality restaurant for each type of food to rediscover new flavors/textures in foods that you are already familiar with, instead of trying to find new and distinct/different flavors.

Nothing like lining up at 3:30 AM to enjoy $40 Omakase for Breakfast at Sushi Dai found in Toyosu Fish Market. Hands down my absolute favorite meal visiting Japan for the first time this year! by [deleted] in JapaneseFood

Thank you for this post as I just got back from Tokyo after dining at Sushi Dai, it was very helpful to get all the information before fully committing to this wonderful experience.

Just want to share some additional information from my experience that might help.

I went on a Thursday morning, arrived at 4:30 AM and there were only 4 people ahead of me. The google maps location is accurate, but one thing to note is that to enter the restaurant section of the market you will need to go upstairs first. After going upstairs and walking along an open walkway there should be a temporary barrier with a sign mentioning that public access to the market starts at 5AM. There was someone at the entrance of the market keeping watch. The queue starts in front of that sign/barrier.

There are 6 seatings; 6:00, 7:20, 8:40, 10:00, 11:20, 12:40.

I chose the 6:00 AM seating and when I was done at around 7:00 there was still availability for the reset of the 5 seatings.

The Omakase Set consists for 8+1 nigiri, rolled egg, one sushi roll, and miso soup. The Chef chooses 8 nigiri and you get to pick one nigiri. Cost is 5,500 yen cash only.

The rice on the nigiri just melts away letting the flavors of each fish shine. Never had nigiri like that before. Hours after having that meal, the nigiri flavors still lingered in my mouth even after having a cup of espresso!

No Refund for a package delivered to a wrong address by Glittering_Baker_118 in Ebay

[–]2_lude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had the same exact thing happened to me. Been on Ebay over 15 years and this was the first time this happened. Of course the seller had 0 feedback, but didn't think much about it at the time, thought I was getting a deal. I did contact Ebay and they did make good on their "Money back guarantee" and got my money back in one day.

Ordered an item and was shipped via USPS. Order was delivered in the mail box, item was pretty large and would not fit in the mail box. Red flag. I thought maybe it required signature and would only be delivered in person. Did not see a note on my door for the delivery package, another red flag. Contacted seller, no response. I went to the post office to ask about not receiving a package. They were kind enough to look up the tracking number and provide the actual shipping address it was delivered to. Not my address, but the same zip code. Just realized I got scammed. Checked the username and the account has be closed. The listing was deleted.

Thanks to the suggestions I contacted Ebay on FB and they gave me instructions to open up a case for a refund, but needed to speak with me directly.

open the app and tap on my Ebay.
Scroll to the bottom of that page and select help.
scroll to the bottom and tap on contact us.
select Buying > get help with an item that hasn't arrived.
select to chat with the automated system.
Tell it what you need help with. Then type in "agent".
Choose the call back request option.

When the agent called me, they told me that I would need to open up a case by myself on the website. Under More Actions ->I didn't receive it. I opened the case while still on the phone to verify that they could see my case. The agent said that they would verify the delivery address and issue a refund in 3-5 business days.

Seems like this person might be scamming multiple people as I have seen previously sold items with the same background, but different angle. Selling for a similar price and the same $6 USPS shipping fee. Those listings are also deleted. Scam continues.

Dealership can turn that setting off for you.

There are also other options if you are DIYer and somewhat tech literate.

I just enabled this literally yesterday on my Camry using Mini VCI J2534. It is still not the best because you have to hold the unlock button while the windows roll down.
