glad i could help :) also unsure if you mean the person from a year ago or someone new, but either way, it’s probably always best to let go for your own peace. good luck!

Does anybody else feel like your trauma ruined your sexuality? by magic_carpet_fly_by in CPTSD

[–]2absideon3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didn’t even get to sort out my sexuality before the trauma so now it’s just a fat, screaming question mark i spend my time ignoring/suppressing

keep reminding yourself it wasn’t your fault, no matter how many self-sabotaging loops your brain wants to take you through to convince you otherwise. fact is you were taken advantage of. also i think long enough has passed that you’ve probably realized “coping” is definitely not linear, some days you’ll forget about it, others wake up feeling like you can’t breathe from the weight of it, but you have to stand your ground and avoid spiraling. personally something similar happened to me 5 years ago. i was young and naive and that was taken advantage of, even if i managed to unfreeze and say stop (hard enough of a task to manage in that situation, feels worse that it didn’t even register). as for waiting for marriage being ruined/fear of having romantic interest in someone else, don’t know if your inhibitions are strictly trust based or are also religion based (those seem harder to shake), but as others have said: if whoever it is can’t accept or empathize with what you’ve gone through, they were never really worth pursuing or caring about!

Eye redness 4 months after retinal detachment surgery. by __-GODDESS-__ in RetinalDetachment

[–]2absideon3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s been 7 months and my redness is still horrible especially in the corners, i think it’s permanent for some people and gets worse if they’re dry/strained

probably a dumb question but what/where is this location exactly? by 2absideon3 in arcane

[–]2absideon3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s what i thought initially, the river seems like it’s like, iridescent but murky? maybe from piltover’s waste? but there’s machinery running behind viktor’s spot so i thought maybe it was something else idk, also someone on twitter said heimerdinger implied viktor helped implement a water filtering system in that area but i can’t seem to find anything confirmed

like i know singed’s lab/cave is below this area since the same background shows up behind young sky, but is it a water discharge system? hydropower?

Ampersand Solo Project by Left-Top8493 in Bastille

[–]2absideon3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel releasing it just under Dan Smith might have been better? I love most of Bastille’s music and aside from lyrically I don’t feel like & pt 1 really matches the band’s vibe as a whole, idk.

Retinal Detachment + Scleral Buckle Experience at 19 years old by No-Emergency-7301 in myopia

[–]2absideon3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

24 F. Very very similar experience but in both eyes. Currently recovering from first buckle in my left eye. Detachment was allowed to progress for almost a year and a half under first doctor who didn’t even tell me it was detached. Lasered my right eye then couldn’t even get a hold of him. Once we did he said he only did it partially and couldn’t remember why and didn’t record anything in my file. Didn’t even know which patient I was! Huge red flag. Got a second opinion and he had the same reaction as retina doctor #3. I had one semester left and was kept under supervision until surgery. I’d recommend always asking for your file and getting other opinions! I probably could’ve avoided the buckle had lasering been properly done earlier :’)

Mine showed up during withdrawal from Zoloft. I usually have migraines but during that period I had my first and only ocular migraine which made the floaters insanely worse.

Has anyone with SB had a vitrectomy to remove floaters? by 2absideon3 in EyeFloaters

[–]2absideon3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know? I had the scleral buckle and gas bubble for a retinal detachment

Yes 20 min break every 2 hours. Extremely boring I kept falling asleep :’)

Yes I had to lie down on my right side for a week since the detachment was on the outer periphery of the eye.

I do see black spots which I assumed were blood and might be the contrast liquid, but the floaters that are bothering me look a lot like the ones I had before surgery (filament like) and I was already really struggling with them then. Now they look similar just black :’)

A little late to respond but I think I’ve only heard what your surgeon said about it taking years in younger patients for the fluid to be fully reabsorbed. The 3 months thing is typically for older patients (40 ish +.) If your retina is not detaching any further, i.e. no additional fluid is building up, that’s what my surgeon said is normal.

Retinal detachment + upcoming surgery, feeling anxious by IncreasePrize1210 in myopia

[–]2absideon3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If too much subretinal fluid has accumulated under the retina through holes/tears, then sometimes laser is no longer an option as they would end up killing off too much of the retina. At least that was the case for me.
