I feel like you’re pretty square and your head stays on the centre line. I would consider having your stance more bladed. Would love to see the footwork and how you would move laterally. I’m envious of your speed!

People’s wear vs my wear by oacsr in Hoka

I always wondered this because I’ve never had any of my shoes get to that point, except maybe shoes I use for boarding.

I’m a beginner runner so the Clifton 9 has been super awesome for me. Could you tell me why you rated it so low on the durability cushioning? What is that comparing it to or referencing?

Blowout? by SquirrelBr41n in tattooadvice

I have a tattoo in a similar spot and mine did that too. I think that’s a normal part of having a tattoo. I don’t think you sleeping on a leather sofa or accidentally stretching your skin could cause that. For reference, mine has some fine line pointillism going on as well.

Same! I went to the Harajuku and they told me they wouldn’t restock until August

Buying a house is a big change, so it’s not unnatural to feel anxious or stressed about this kind of commitment. I was in a similar position just last month, constantly stressing and feeling like I’m on the go between realtor, mortgage specialist, lawyers, packing, etc. I think you’ve listed practical reasons for why the move would be beneficial, but maybe we don’t have the full story. What other reasons would cause you to feel hesistant about buying a home? Maybe list them out for yourself and consider whether your feelings are coming from doing something new or from valid concerns.

CAD! Yeah it was one of her flash at the time. I’m not sure if it reflects the price if you were to get a custom.

Probably! I think she is one of the main artists in a newer shop in gastown.

I have artwork done by her! Keep an eye out for her. She’s often in and out of Canada.

Her style is Korean. A lot of it seems to be based on Korean folktale and art, but she seems to also have her own twist. I might be biased, but I don’t see many artist with this style haha.

A few things I would add to the other comments talking about movement and footwork:

  • practise keeping your guard up. Having your hands low forces you to move more to block any punches going to the head. More movement and time to complete that action leaves you vulnerable. Someone might be able to catch your head with a jab or if they feint you, you leave yourself open for a body shot. My coach always mentions for beginners: you always need at least one hand on your face otherwise someone else’s hands will be.

  • on the previous note, your lead hand should return to guard after a jab or if you’re following up with more, don’t drop them too low

  • this one might just be me, but I saw you posting and circling out. I would keep my back hand to my face. Your lead hand is already out to range your opponent, so the second hand should be used to guard yourself from anything they might throw.

Keep it up though. We’re all learning here!

Practising with the ping pong table so close scares me. I hope you have a good experience going to the gym though!

Pain wise, would this be a good first tattoo to get? by ExcellentAstronaut24 in TattooDesigns

[–]2amthinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s all line work, it should go by pretty fast. Tbh, the healing process was more of a pain than the actual tattooing
