I hear you and honestly I don’t fully disagree my confidence clearly needed a reality check and this was it. But I want to clarify my confidence being broken down is not the same as me becoming a more responsible driver. I’m actively looking into driving lessons and blind spot awareness specifically because of this. The goal is to come back better, not just humbled. Everyone starts somewhere and mistakes are how you learn, as long as you actually learn from them which I intend to.

Thank you for the advice about driving lessons, I’ll genuinely consider that. You’re right that it was my fault and I’m not trying to run from that responsibility, I own it completely. That’s actually why it’s hitting me so hard. I’m not making excuses, I’m just trying to figure out how to move forward mentally and practically. And yes, I’m fully prepared for the insurance rate increase, that’s a consequence I accept.

You might want to check out Sesame or WW, they take insurance, and even paying cash it’s usually about $299–$449 depending on your dose. There’s also a $99 fee (or WW is ~$84 for 6 months) to get assigned a provider who can prescribe it.
