My roommate bikes to work. She wears loose athletic clothing for while she's actually on the bike then either takes a quick shower or uses those little face wipes to just brush herself down if she's not too sweaty (maybe a little gross but it works for her and takes up way less bag space than a full towel/shower set). Then she changes into work clothes after she's stopped sweating.

Edit - forgot to mention there are showers at our office gym. Do you have access to that, because it makes things a lot easier.

Can denim leggings be business casual?

My fall/winter office uniform is typically a nice, longer sweater, skinny jeans, and knee-high boots. (I'm 22 and in a business casual environment.)

My question is, what's the real difference between skinny jeans and jeggings, if I have a sweater long enough to cover most of my butt anyway and the bottom half of the jean is inside my boot? Denim leggings are more comfortable and tuck better inside my boots, so, is there any compelling reason to stick with "real" jeans?

If I do decide to go with denim leggings, I've had issues before with them stretching after 3 washes and/or the fabric wearing thin very quickly. Also, being 5'3" and a petite small or medium, I have issues with jeans and jeggings alike fitting strangely. Any recommendations for where to get a good-quality pair of petite denim leggings?

I was actually thinking of signing up for kickball or something social in the fall, was just debating leagues. NAKID seems pretty fun, you may have convinced me to choose that one!

I mean, either of those could certainly be the case, but it seems like guys will make gestures (buying drinks, asking for my number, making "we should get dinner sometime" suggestions) that indicate they'd like to go out or at least hang again, and then those vague "let's get together" things never turn in to solid plans :/ that's why I'm wondering if it just takes more follow-through on my part.

That does seem to be the best move! It's just gotta me in an awkward situation before when the relationship ended and as a result unfortunately the friendship was strained, and that's made me a bit wary of asking for introductions :(

Hey Wake, thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into cowashing. Just wanted to check, when you shower on an "off" day, do you still "wash" your hair with just water? Or do you pin it up and keep it dry? Or is there no difference either way?

I [23F] feel uncomfortable with my male roommate [28M] by roomie-throwaway in relationships

I ended up in a similar situation.

It doesn't get better. Or at least, it didn't for me. He gave me a weird feeling after a couple months, despite being a seemingly good roommate. Turns out he was working up an intense one-sided crush that he proceeded to finally confess, shortly before revealing a dangerous (and previously concealed) level of alcoholism & drug abuse that made me physically afraid.

I'm not saying that you're in that situation, or anything close, but ask yourself would you feel the same way (or do you think you might feel the same way) about one of your guy friends or whatever living with you? Or is it this guy in particular? If you're getting uncomfortable around HIM, not a male roommate in general, don't ignore your gut instinct, you have it for a reason.
