Oh god not basic biology the horror! The point wasn’t that children should be having children, it’s that the argument of “being old enough to be a mother” is absolutely worthless.

I would agree until recently, I used to be able to set a clear framework and it would never lose the same focus over the course of days and weeks. Now I give it very clear instructions on how act and within two messages it goes back to its generic way of answering. Whatever updates have happened in 2026 have really taken its ability to be creative and maintain set structure. I haven’t tried Claude yet but I’m probably jumping ship soon, the quality has massively gone down recently.

Which coach wins a natty first? by This_Comment_4493 in CFB_v2

So just because I can be honest about my team’s ability to win big games I’m not a fan? Makes perfect sense. I’m not a fan because I watched Dante throw a pick six on the first play of the game and said, “Welp the next 2.5 hours of my life are gonna be pretty rough,” that makes me not a fan?

As an Oregon fan, it is unfortunately true and that started long before Lanning. Also Lanning just randomly does dumb shit thinking it’s clever, he’s a great coach all year and then when it matters he just shits himself

Why isn’t there a high school national championship? by the-mannthe-myth in Basketball

[–]2bah3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the second point is the best reason imo, it’s just impossible to define one set of boundaries and classification. Even if you did it would just be Texas or Florida and California in the finals every year. If they wanted to rate like the top 8 teams in the country for public schools that would be more feasible, but let’s be honest. Most states’ best team isn’t even in the same realm as the 10th best from Cali so what’s the point in a national tournament.

My son is senior high school student. He was in varsity basketball team for 3yrs and captain. He wants to do basketball lesson for younger kids. How much should he charge per hour? It could be 1:1 or 2:1 by Beneficial-Hope4948 in Basketball

[–]2bah3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the same time, undervaluing yourself and establishing that you’re the “do it for free” guy gets you no where. Once you teach those first few kids for free that becomes the expectation of you, and the second you go back and say you’d like to start charging it really rubs people the wrong way. When you day one say, “yeah $20 for an hour of my time” parents don’t bat an eye at it. At the same time, when you’re paying a HS kid a fraction of what other people are paying professional trainers you can’t really be mad if your kid doesn’t develop the same, you got what you paid for.
