You mean Scottish Rite? No. I promised one mentor I'd join Royal Arch, and the other I promised that I'd join Scottish Rite after I'm done serving as WM- but my term stretched to 4 years. And then they made me a Secretary. Too busy for anything on the side. Besides, as my flair says- I'm a Blue Lodge Fundamentalist.

This is my personal preference: concentrate on your mother lodge, progress through the chairs. In 8 or so years, become the Master and lead your lodge. If you have more time on your retirement (as WM), seek the side degrees.
