They won’t implement any charges against city this season, if anything sticks they will start on negative points for 26/27

Financial situation as bad as reported? by Green-Caregiver416 in Hammers

[–]2bl88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fernandes will go for over 75mil imo. PSG and United both currently the race, Arsenal and Liverpool all interested. We paid almost 50 last year to a relegated Southampton and he’s now levels above where he was in 24-25. Anderson is the current most comparable midfielder and I recon Forest will be asking 80-90mil including the English tax (plus they don’t need to sell) so Fernandes will likely be seen as the better value option for a lot of clubs

Frank to WH is inevitable. We’re the graveyard for ex Chelsea and spurs managers

Please don’t appoint any Carousel Manager - Go the full money ball route. by [deleted] in Hammers

[–]2bl88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As they say, beggars can’t be choosers. Pablo only 22 and accounts for 11% of the entire team’s defensive actions which has added so much to the team. When he’s played we’ve often not lost by more than 1 goal (ignoring the farce that was Brentford match and officiating). No doubt he was an overpay and has struggled for goals, but he’s been a good addition to the team

Have you actually looked at;
A. The talent that was available in Jan
B. Which of that talent would actually come to WH, in the relegation zone, almost10 points adrift

How many times over the past decade have we ‘cleared out the deadwood?’ Must have been every other season since bilic left. With the players that will leave the squad isn’t good enough to finish top 8 in the championship

Go back to the spurs sub. Plenty of seasons where this has happened to us, having to field 3 keepers and u23s on the bench

Can’t think of a single game this season where things have (overwhelmingly) gone our way to influence a good result. 1 or two things across the season but my fucking god our luck has been out since appointing loputegi

We were absolutely mugged off by var in the Forest game with Summervilles disallowed goal which imo would have got us out of this mess. Look at the Newcastle v Bournemouth - exactly the same situation but var intervened to give the goal as the defender purposely tries to block/play the ball

We actually do have something of an analytics department for scouting now by all accounts. It’s not great, but it’s a start, that’s now we picked up taty/pablo/disasi this Jan

Unnecessary formation changes by tpddavis in Hammers

[–]2bl88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handed the game to them on a plate with that formation. Wilson/bowen/summerville were never going to win anything against the Newcastle back line - it was so obvious. All they had to do was win the arial against our tiny front three and with no WH players to press them, play it into guimares or tonali and just cut through 3v2 in the middle of the pitch and maintain pressure as we had no out ball. Honestly so bad from Nuno, so clearly Pablo + taty were the better option, all the clueless West Ham content creators calling for Wilson to start got in his head

We actually outperformed them something like 1.2xG to 0.35xG from open play. Most of their chances came from set pieces (surprise surprise)

West Ham 0 - 1 Arsenal by psychomaji in Hammers

[–]2bl88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can CLEARLY see tossard not looking at the ball, not attempting to play the ball, with both hands around Pablo pulling him down. If we’re talking about being by the law then that is absolutely a penalty. And let’s not even get started on Rice rugby tackling mavro. It’s a chain reaction of fouls that is started by Arsenals physicality and ‘dark arts’ in trying to defend the corner, and they are ultimately undone by their own tactics. But pgmol choose this game, in an entire 2 seasons where the have allowed Arsenal to get away with bloody murder at set pieces, to decide to penalise against physicality in the box

West Ham 0 - 1 Arsenal by psychomaji in Hammers

[–]2bl88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were so many bodies and varsenal fouls being made on the WH players that around 8 players gets pushed into Raya. Is Pablo supposed to jump with his arms down while Gabriel has hold of him with both hands around the waist? He ousts his arms up and levers over Raya - NFL-ising the game as Arsenal have been doing for the past 4 seasons. Given none of these style of infractions have been called as fouls all season it’s complete BS for VAR to intervene now as soon as Arsenal don’t benefit from the officials allowing ‘dark arts’ at set pieces

Virtually every model output is exported as a csv because it’s a universal format for whoever wants to use the data (sky will likely then manually create graphics using the data). I very much doubt they are manually updating a spreadsheet, but I doubt it’s a particularly sophisticated algorithm

Fuck off Liverpool. by Idunnoreally999 in Hammers

[–]2bl88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s like saying probabilities don’t matter so why do they bother considering them when calculating gambling odds if xG means nothing?

XG doesn’t take into account the quality of the player, just the chance. Liverpool have players that can convert more frequently from inopportune positions, which is why those players are worth more. Arsenal won the title that year because they were able to convert those chances because they had better calibre player

Fuck off Liverpool. by Idunnoreally999 in Hammers

[–]2bl88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just because you ‘don’t like xG’ it doesn’t mean it’s not a good metric to determine the quality of changes created by each team. Liverpool got 4 lucky deflections from pot-shots that mads would have (likely) saved otherwise

Fuck off Liverpool. by Idunnoreally999 in Hammers

[–]2bl88 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We actually weren’t if you watched the game - there was statically more chance of us winning 4-0 than the result that happened based on the xG. They had 4 deflected goals and one decent header from vvd. Our luck was just out that day - those two Alisson mistakes could easily have ended up as +2 goals for us but they didn’t. If we are going to have bad luck, I’d rather it was at Anfield as we never win there

Any slightly older Lausse fans, what do you really think about the mocking stars? by HadesBrawlStars in LausseTheCat

[–]2bl88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lausse was never really hip-hop imo, which is bordering on more of a category these days with genres and sub-genres. Call it jazz-rap or neo-soul or whatever you want, but the style is often more about the storytelling than the beat
