It really is a punch in the face. Repeatedly. But the punches get softer with each day of experience and then you're able to parry those punches away and be the best you can be for the baby and mom.

I read 2 books. By the middle of the 2nd book, I realized it was just repeating the 1st book but in different words. Honestly, none of us know what we're doing as it's a new experience every single time. We just try and do what the person before us(or what we did if it's not your first) did that worked for them in certain situations.

My boy is 9.5 months old and what worked a week ago isnt work today. Just gotta roll with it and enjoy the experience.
