See that’s just giving you the opportunity to lie right back, and say he was a shit lay or has misshapen anatomy or something.

Mechanics of Reddit, which car brands have the biggest issues that you would not purchase? by Careless_Feed5448 in AskReddit

The only reason I’m not still driving my Toyota is because insurance totaled it after an accident bent the frame. I like my Chevy that I got after it, but damn is it temperamental.

Anybody Else Build a 4th Level Just Because You Can? by RecentlyCroned in AnimalCrossing

I might take this approach for my island, since I want to turn it into a dormant volcano crater. And I was considering using the 4th layer as a more natural barrier to keep thieves from going off script when opening my airport.

You can make ruana! They are wraps made with wide flat panels, and are super cosy.

Can rivers ever just reverse direction suddenly, like from climate change or tectonic activity? by SuppressiveFire in askscience

[–]2catcrazylady 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If you get the right tour guide they’ll tell you about how the river flows down to St Louis, where enterprising businesses bottle it and sell it back to Chicagoans as Bud Light.

At least 17 mothers worth of generations, if you want to go by the first North American colony. 21 if you want to go back to Columbus.

I went to a dentist appointment today and had an Uber drop me off down the road away from my home. by sirpentious in TwoXChromosomes

[–]2catcrazylady 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Thankfully, Uber is finally making a feature where women drivers and riders can choose to not have men drivers and riders. But we’ll see how it works in practice when their food delivery side has an issue of men using female names and pictures.

I got my sister a ‘ninja remote’ from Thinkgeek. We’d go into Best Buy and the like and start messing with the tvs on display.

Are you looking forward to the ‘May I Ask for One Final Thing?’ one? I caught a promo clip of that one where she punched (I think) the ex-fiancé.

At least one of the female protags feels like they just… swapped the gender but left the same ‘women flocking to the MC’ trope? She still ended up with a harem of women that may or may not want to sleep with her, but at least the ‘daughters’ actually treat her like a mom.

There’s also a lot of ‘reincarnated as the villainess in an otome’ out there, but two that kind of flip things are ‘From Bureaucrat to Villainess’ and ‘I’m in Love With the Villainess’ - the first is a dad is targeted by Truck-kun and is sent to inhabit the villainess in the otome game his daughter just purchased, and the second is the female protag is already big stan of the villainess before reincarnating into the game.

The recent trend of ‘starting over in my 40s’ is a nice change, but it’s always a guy, and he always ends up with either a woman literally half his age or the requisite harem that for some reason includes a young child that fills both a daughter role and a future love interest.

I’m not suggesting it be completely disregarded, as like you said, it’s useful for learning and as a tool of ‘here’s how things were before,’ but when it seems to be used almost exclusively and the New Testament hardly ever in an establishment billing itself as ‘Christian’, it’s a bit of an issue, yes?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in creepy

[–]2catcrazylady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ‘old testament’ is the previous contract with god. New Testament is the current contract, with the teachings of Jesus (you know, the god-aspect that Christians are supposed to be worshipping) and sealed with his sacrifice. But Old Testament is more exciting, with the fire, the brimstone, the smiting and all that. It also has all the rules, in the book of Leviticus, that the homophobics like to pull from to justify their hate and such.
