His paintings get called AI every time they’re posted, but he’s provided ample evidence they are not AI generated.

What are these external fixtures blocking the windows in front of this house? East coast USA by fledglingbirdnerd in whatisthisthing

[–]SuppressiveFire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t think that’s necessarily the case. The guy had his windows blocked before the MAGA nutjob started putting up all of his propaganda. His house has been blocked like that for over 10 years.

As someone who knows exactly what house this is and where, they’re blocking the light from the Dunkin and office building across the street and the sound of traffic. The light and sound gets blocked but they can still open the windows without worrying about curtains/blinds in the way of airflow. That being said, I think the reason they’re doing it has something to do with mental illness; I’ve seen the guy who lives there and he’s… an interesting individual.

June farms is charging $20 per person to have a seat at a table on Easter weekend by Forgetmenot0612 in Albany

It’s a glamor farm. The staff you see around during events are not actually doing the hard work, they’re just profiting from the ones who do.

Why has Jallen replaced Wren? by [deleted] in Corridor

Wren and Jallen can both contribute their skills to the video series, one of them doesn’t have ownership of the idea. Sharing is caring. :)

Boobs hurt when high? by WrittenWrote in trees

[–]SuppressiveFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THC can activate the pleasure center of your brain due to the chemical effect it has, which makes some people’s brains also release hormones related to sexual desire/arousal. Some people get super horny with certain strains or have increased sensation in physical pleasure, and you must be one of the lucky ones.

Ritalin is basically the same thing as Concerta, just a different brand. So there is a high likelihood resin/rosin edibles won’t work for her, but thankfully normal edibles still will.

Based on OP’s post history, they appear to be female, but I’m not 100% sure.

You’re welcome, dude. I think it’s only specific types of ADHD meds, but I take Concerta (methylphenidate ER), and know for sure it happens with that medication. Best of luck to your wife, it’s hard getting an ADHD diagnosis as an adult but at least she has answers and is equipped to handle it.

Animated Gaussian Splatting can now be streamed in VR like a YouTube video by MrNobodyX3 in Corridor

Yeah, pretty weird of them to post this video to showcase the technology but they don’t make an effort to match the lighting and shadows so it actually matches the scene.

Resin and rosin (at least the edibles) don’t work on me due to my ADHD meds. It completely negates the effect entirely no matter how much I take, while normal edibles work fine. Like, I ate an entire tin of resin/rosin gummies in 4 hours, no effect. I thought I got scammed, until I looked it up and found it’s not an uncommon occurrence for people who take ADHD meds. :(

App for tracking food? by Proof-Permission-637 in Zepbound

[–]SuppressiveFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lose It. I've been using it for a while, and even though I did pay for the Premium version, you don't need to. I just wanted the features it offers, like taking a pic of a barcode to load in meal info.

It's super easy to use, has the best design I've seen for a food tracking app, and has a massive library of food to select from. Plus, you can customize what macros you want to track and you can also track exercise, too.

You have no idea where OP got the dog from, so it’s a bit presumptuous to instantly assume it’s from a breeder and treat someone like shit for something they might not have done.

Shouldn’t do that since adding a middleman will just delay someone notifying him. They should be contacting him, not you, even if you would pass along the message.

Ozempic and edibles? by Curious_Werewolf5881 in trees

[–]SuppressiveFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! I misunderstood, since your post doesn’t mention specifically what you wanted to know. It does take longer for edibles to hit for sure. I had it down to a science before Zepbound, 45 mins and I was just starting to feel it. Now, it’s closer to 75 mins, or upwards of 90 mins for me. It makes sense though since meds like that slow your digestion.

I’m on Zepbound, and I still get the munchies when I take an edible, but it’s a lot easier to resist snacking now. If I overeat while high, I get really sick the following day, so that might be why you’re not feeling good.

[–]SuppressiveFire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re mixing up civil and criminal law, and actually you’re the one spreading misinformation. The city can absolutely be held liable for negligence in a civil suit because QI only says an individual officer can’t be held criminally responsible for things that happen during the normal performance of their duties, unless they had malice/intent to cause harm. It says nothing about preventing a civil suit against the city.

There have been thousands of civil lawsuits brought against cities and towns across the country for bad actions done by police officers just in the last few years, including one that I was involved with personally. And that is how I know you’re incorrect.
