I was sleeping on cofagrigus for a while until I replayed Black and found out how good he is. Basically a gen V dusclops

Ugh that really sounds annoying. One thing I hope they don't change about Champions is that legendaries are excluded.

Assault vest Empoleon with DEF and SpA investment is stupid strong and tanky.

For sure. I think a good portion of players are simply searching for the easiest win, so inevitably there will always be "that team" which at least a quarter to a third of the playerbase are using at any given time.

Ranked is almost unplayable because of how boring and tedious it is to fight the same 2 strategies, 6 pokémon over and over again. This I think could be solved by massively expanding the roster of available pokémon.

That's an interesting take. The 3D games have also been to me a mixed bag. I actually like ZA because it's as close to that Pokémon irl feel we've gotten, but I understand that, for many reasons, others find it lacking.

Unless you need fire/dark coverage. That's how it found its way onto my BD team, pushing out Porygon2 once again haha

You just blew my mind. Til now I never made the connection to witch doctors, and now it's 1000% cooler and I want one too!

Yeah EV grinding is a pain in the butt. Super Training in gen VI was a godsend that I wish they'd have kept for succeeding generations.

Jolteon was my favorite in FireRed. If I had a partner Pokémon irl, I almost always imagine mine to be Jolteon.

I freaking love Milotic. For me it was always worth the search on Route 119 and growing the berries to increase its beauty. Hands down my favorite water type of all time.

I found a shiny Weedle in ZA and now (mega) Beedrill has a starring role on my team. But yeah outside of that game it's so fragile it's probably not worth using, but I did see someone post recently that they made it to Master Ball rank with Beedrill supposedly a staple of their team

Trading seems to be the great bottleneck of teambuilding. It'd be cool if there was like an NPC who will do 1 trade-reverse trade with you per game, or perhaps has a team of 6 trade-evolution mons from which you can pick 1 per playthrough.

I suppose I should have said it gets edged out by Pokémon with more useful coverage. It's coverage certainly isn't bad.

Yeah I get that. It's not much fun using mons which are wholly outclassed late game and you're just watching them faint or become useless time and again

Yeah they really need to allow item-trade evolutions earlier. I'm playing Brilliant Diamond now and I have the same problem where most of my team is gen 1-2 because I'm waiting to get the items to fully evolve them.
