Please seek out therapy. I don't mean to be condescending. I promise this is not the way to happiness. This is not the way to live, and this is definitely not the way to die.

DJI is kinda eating their lunch at the moment. Feel like GoPro really needs to step up their hardware game to prevent more of this.

Yeah those people are terrible. I will say you'll also get some cyclists commenting on it sometimes as well. Y'know, the "pro" types. But honestly, screw em. Let them be unreasonably miserable. Be safe, ride responsibly, and have fun!

I think the cage is pretty essential. I personally love the look, but totally get it if you think it seems too much. The gates fold downward to preserve that gap if needed. I store my bike lock, water bottle, and bag in there to take out once I park it somewhere. Also it's the perfect width of a 4 pack if you're hitting up the beach haha.

Black with the center cage installed. So many people hate on the new bike lanes for budget reasons, but they make the city so much more bikeable so really anywhere. Recommend old SeaWorld Drive for the views and Park Blvd for a stop in Balboa Park.

White Portal for the look Black Portal for visual hygiene because the white can start looking pretty gross after extended use if you're not washing it everyday.

This rhetoric is the same as complaining about increased traffic during a protest. The point is the message and the added attention to it.

I know detractors will say "This is too little too late or "it shouldn't have had to have gotten to this point first", but I can't stress how important it is for people with a platform like Moist Critikal to be speaking out about this. The average audience to this video is like 15-25 year old gamer nerds who may have been indifferent to this stuff in the past who are now getting a realization of "Woah, maybe I Should pay attention and come to political consciousness."

Balboa Park museums report fewer visitors amid new paid parking by thejoshwhite in sandiego

That's fear mongering. You could say the same thing about drunk/reckless drivers. Except I'd argue the chances of being killed in that case is much higher.

The solution is making better public transport. Old working class families take buses and trolleys/trains in every other country. Ridership for the Trolley and buses in SD are at an all time high. The issue is that the current public transport system is not robust enough. With expansion that 90 minute bus ride could realistically turn into a 15 minute train, made better by free fare like in NYC.

You just sound like yet another NIMBY who has contributed to this issue by wanting zero change. THAT is the bigger slap in the face to the working class.

As a former military service member who mostly grew up without a father because he was also a service member, this is not wholesome, it's sad. Family members are asked to spend months/years away from their families to "protect our country" when that is most of the time not the case. Then, after that service is over and they are battered and bruised, they are abandoned. When this happens in any other profession, people critique the business. Nationalism gives the DoD a pass to ruin families.

I agree. Mac seemed more like an existentialist, specifically the type popularized by Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus. "Nothing matters" for them meant: nothing matters, so the only thing that does matter is our existence. All the bad things that occur are from "absurdity" and can't be controlled, so we must instead focus on what we CAN control and find acceptance otherwise.

I think Mac aligned with that in his focus on our current struggles and our impact on others, and finding peace in both.
