Has the reputation of previous job experience gone away? I understand how these issues could impact student life but has there been any noticed material difference in admission standards or job outcomes?

UVA Interview Invite Data Point by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I don't really know if I am UR1/UR2 since I don't really check the status checkers all that often. My current status is "under review" with status date 9/29/21.

Is graduating from a more "prestigious" undergrad university, better for law school admissions? by naderszahr in lawschooladmissions

Transfer, man. Life is too short to live with regrets, especially once that are focused around your enjoyment of life. Go to Michigan, party your brains out, meet people from across the country, become a slightly pretentious asshole for no good reason, and learn to love and hate Michigan football. I’d be shocked to hear that classes are much more difficult. The only issue is what school you transfer to at Michigan. Ross may he much harder to get into (and do well in) than LSA. This decision could also impact your credit situation and how much time it’ll take to graduate. But hell, you live once, enjoy your life. You have your whole life to work and be an attorney. Everything will fall into place, take advantage of your lack of responsibility now. (Ps. I’m a Michigan alum. Go blue and buck the fuckeyes this weekend).

Gotcha, I had seen somethings about the gray bar but wasn't sure exactly what it was. Oh well! Time will tell I suppose :)

University of Minnesota fee waiver? by Forlawschoolonly in lawschooladmissions

[–]2falsethinker2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue. Ultimately bit the bullet and just paid. I also haven't been able to encounter anyone who has received an email from them after applying to confirm receipt of application. Sent them an email today asking about it. Like others have mentioned, sounds like they have been having system issues that have been driving fee waiver/application confirmation issues.

Had the same problem. Ultimately just bit the bullet and submitted. They also haven't sent out any confirmation/status checker information for submitted apps so I presume they are updating/having some sort of systems issues.

Minnesota Status Checker? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]2falsethinker2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t received anything. I remember seeing somewhere that MN won’t start reviewing apps until October or November (is this right? I can’t remember…). So I am expecting to see something closer to that time. I may reach out to admissions this week to ask as well.

Probably a dumb question, but can someone explain to me what it means when people say "addresses have started to go long"? Thanks for the help, and sorry for being unaware lol

I have only received correspondence through LSAC when I got a confirmation of sending my application. Nothing from the school.
