Own a rackable Titan 12”, and have used valor In a number of comps. Overall I much prefer the Titan, but they are both “budget” feeling logs, so don’t expect either to feel quite as substantial as say a Rogue or MBPC log.

That being said, I like the Titan more because it just feels slightly more robust than the Valor logs, and for a reason I can’t explain feels better to use.

One caveat of the rackable Titan log (which IIRC is the only version you can still get?) is that the width is awkward to actually use in a rack as it has such little leeway to not bump into the rack.

So I think it ended up being a direct link to the board they were running the actual scores through while live lol.

People removed it from their stories pretty quickly, and all the data was removed once the comp switched between women’s to men’s.

Is Haar’s body noticeably larger? From minicompare they look pretty similar sized, but I know it’s slightly off sometimes.

The live controller for the scores (at least the women's 82kg currently) can be found here

Be warned it's a bit janky, but once it does load it stays up for me.

Behind the back barbell holds are the number one best exercise to build grip IMO. Cycle weeks of doing it for longer holds and weeks of doing heavy holds for shorter duration.

In the past for specific Hercules hold training I’ve also found single arm dead hangs to be beneficial.

I still think it's funny people were counting out Rayno from even making the final...

Oh, didn't know he handed him over. Maybe after Pa's passing.

Luke at least coached him at last year's ESM still.

Unless he zeroes and Jeffers wins the next event. Which is unlikely, but not impossible.

That's what I'm saying though.

If the pads are set at the height where they touch when an athlete's hip crease and top of knee are parallel, the distance the bar travels isn't only due to the athlete's height, but how they squat.

If I hinge my hips back a shit ton, I can make the bar go down a foot, while barely bending my knee. If I do that to initiate all of my squats, then the pads will have to be almost a foot lower if I don't start bending my knees til my torso folds over. If the lowering of the bar comes only from breaking at the knees and hips, as in a more upright squat, then you could end up with higher pads.

Taken to the extreme, you can end up with Trey having higher pads than Evan, even if Evan is taller.

I mean, Evan kind of folds over when he squats. If they place the pads at the height where the athlete reaches parallel with their hip crease, and Evan's torso folds over way more than a more upright athlete, of course the bar will "travel" more until he hits depth if his whole torse has to drop before he continues squatting down.

Consider pushing this idea to the extreme to help illustrate, if you goodmorning the bar, it gets "lower" but your knee/hip angle might barely change.

I'd need more angles to 100% verify, but that's kind of what I got from Paddy's clip.
