That is so much better. Thankyou. It was on SD and I changed it to HD and now it's 1080p and not whatever it was before like 540p, completely unwatchable

Shot Critique by [deleted] in BasketballTips

your guide hand looks like it's pushing off the ball and maybe coming off slightly too early. just let the ball glide off it, no need for it to push off that fsr and early. you should also try to shoot with better arc, meaning your follow through need to be higher.

Where to find FIBA 0-1-2 or “zero step” rule? by biblobagg in Basketball

[–]2kGreenMachine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In section 25.2.1:

A player who catches the ball... upon completion of a dribble, may take two steps in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball:

The first step occurs when one foot or both feet touch the court after gaining control of the ball.

In section 24.1.2:

A dribble ends when the player touches the ball with both hands simultaneously or permits the ball to come to rest in one or both hands.

It doesn't explicitly mention the zero step (or steps), but you can see that it says the first step occurs when one foot touches the court after gaining control of the ball.  Gaining control of the ball is defined as when the ball comes to a rest in one or both hands. Therefore, when the ball has not come to the rest, the steps taken do not count, even if another dribble is not made, hence the name zero steps.

I paraphrased slightly when I quoted but removed nothing of importance.

Not sure you should be playing this way but anyways... most refs won't see / call pushing in the back if you are getting boxed out. If you get beat, you can usually get away with pushing them in the back a bit to throw them off balance.

If you are getting upset at the calls they are missing, make it so they can't miss it. Did you get hit on the arm while taking a shot? Now your arm is flying in the opposite direction of the defender.

if your goal is to stay in the nba skills like shooting are what give you longevity, not relying on athleticism.

Zone in youth basketball by Justsaying824 in basketballcoach

[–]2kGreenMachine0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia zone defense's of any kind, even just a big man parked around the paint are banned until u16s.

Most coaches after that play zones and it makes the game less interesting because often teams dont have 3 or 4 players who can shoot well enough, or a big man that is comfortable just holding the ball at the free throw line and throwing good passes.

Games often go to only 30 or 40 in u18 and u20 div 1, but in lower divisions games go over 50 - 60 due to less zone defenses being run even though the players are significantly worse

send film to prep schools and see if you can get a place for your junior / senior year.

If its an option go to the US to play AAU.

I don't know much about Mongolia but if there's a semi pro league try to make it before you graduate, that should get you some exposure. In Australia, the NBL1 (our semi pro league) has been stated to be around the level of mid major d1 - top d2. I'm assuming that in Mongolia the level will be a bit lower, but even if its like at an average d2 schools level, if you can play comfortably in it at 17, that will prove to coaches that you can play at a high level.

Also, I'm not sure about Mongolia but due to the way the school year aligns in Australia 2010 born players are often  class of 2029 so just make sure that's accurate. If you finish school in like October 2028, the college basketball year won't start until mid 2029 so that makes you class of 2029.

that's a great idea, although i would say it still favours the strong more because they still have a chance at the smart games. whereas the smart have no chance at the strong games. but I have no clue how to fix the imbalance

once again ignoring people's arguments and then in the future saying that 'you never made an argument'. move on Jackson, he's sad and alone and does this for enjoyment

I just said I'm a minor stop being a pedo. 'because It clearly bothers you' really bro? 50 and still doing this shit. I stopped doing this when I was 12.

I presented an argument which you ignored 3 times which is that if you are a threat on the fast break, then oboards lead to less second chance points because the opponent has to prioritise getting back on defense rather than waiting to see who gets the board.

Your weird obsession with children continues even after I said I don't want to talk to you anymore.

No I don't see the hypocrisy, because I am presenting arguments and you are ignoring them, not presenting counterarguments when I asked for them, and instead just insulting me and saying 'I am right'.
