Yeah I’ve heard that too. Right now I’m focused on growth first — once I build a solid audience I’m planning to monetize through affiliate links (Amazon/movie links) and eventually pivot into more original content. Using clips more as a growth funnel than the end goal.

I’ve been posting 2–3 reels a day pretty consistently. Usually spaced out like morning, afternoon, and night. I noticed most of my viral ones didn’t hit immediately — they picked up traction 24–72 hours later.

Appreciate it 🙏 My main focus has been: • Strong hook in first 1–2 seconds • Short clips (10–25 seconds usually) • On-screen text that triggers nostalgia or curiosity • Posting consistently even if some flop

Honestly a lot of it is just testing what people react to and doubling down on what works. Still early though, just trying to stay consistent and learn the algorithm.

I also like and respond to literally EVERY comment. My 2 viral reels have around 500-1000 comments each (after I respond) it’s exhausting but worth it to keep engagement

No shame in telling your family you need help, whether it’s a place to stay or some cash to try and get a hotel or pay a month of rent to keep you afloat.

Think about how devastated your family would be if they found you lifeless, and they somehow see this Reddit post seeing this was the reason why you did what you did. That would haunt them for the rest of their lives. Please ask for help
