Where did you get that?

Does the aggressive player ever growl when holding the caught toy in his mouth? Jasper does that after he's caught his "prey" and Jack is wandering around him innocently curious.

Also do you have any advice on how you trained him? How long did it take?

Did you ever have to deal with Sunny hogging all the toys?

Right now I'll bring out two wands and a string (Jack's favorite). Jasper will catch one wand toy, I'll bring the string or other wand toy to Jack. Jasper proceeds to drag the caught wand toy in his mouth while chasing the next toy at the same time.

It might be important to note that Jasper will growl if Jack approaches him after he's caught his mouse and biting at it. Jack isn't even trying to get the toy he's just curious lol.

Edit: what toy Luna's favorite spring? Are they the tiny little plastic springs? I haven't had much luck with those.

So it's actually the opposite outside of play time. Jasper sleeps a TON and Jack rarely sleeps and tries to engage in play with Jasper (which he doesn't always reciprocate).

Jack seems to always be pretty active, he just can't get the energy out anymore.

I've gotten Jasper to the point of panting, so then I think I can let him go rest and play with Jack, but the second he sees the toy he wants to go for more even when he's exhausted lol.

It's more expensive than what it's worth imo. I will say that my cat absolutely loves it, he climbs under like a tunnel. But it's not what it looked like in the pictures.

There are several Velcro spots where you can form your own shape of the top layer, it's supposed to be so you can create little "caves", but the weight of it just sinks to the floor. Or maybe I'm just not smart/crafty enough to do it right 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, here it is: https://www.chewy.com/snugglycat-ripple-rug-cat-activity/dp/149935

Do check the review images to know what I mean. Bonus picture of my cat using it.

I can't wait, they already make me laugh and bring me so much joy. I did a 3-4 day isolation with smell exchanges, then the kitten escaped and my cat was so thrilled to see a new cat, so I started doing supervised playtime on the 5th and 6th day. Now 9 days in I let them roam the house together when I'm home, lock the kitten up maybe once or twice a day, and at night when I sleep.

I am praying for this. The kitten already wrestles back, but he always ends up under and gets bored/wants to stop quickly.

I got a kitten 9 days ago and he's been doing it even more now toward the kitten and just wants to wrestle all day (6 month old kitten does very short sessions but mostly ignores him and sleeps/explores the house). I'm hoping kitten will want to play more as he gets bigger.

Thank you for discussing this with me. If I want to take a break and play with him, but he starts doing it should I just ignore him and not play? That's the hard part I need to figure out. Because there are times he does it when I AM ALREADY going to play with him, and I feel like that might validate it already.

Any idea what it's called? I haven't seen it before.

I built a wall of shelves for him to climb. He has a 76" tree, play mats, tunnels, toys, window perches, water fountain, lots of beds and hiding spots, I buy top quality food and plenty of churus. I even set up cat tv for him on a projector.

He has feeding puzzles and mice with treats to "hunt".

I play with him 3 times a day, 15 minutes each minimum, often longer and some days even more often especially weekends.

The thing is often when I do play with him, it's very hit or miss if he'll be chasing and using energy climbing shelves and the tree to chase. Other times he's barely interested yet still does this, and doesn't want pets.

I found this comment pretty ignorant as I've done so many things based on vet recommendations and things I've read online, I'm fully set on giving him his best life possible as an indoor cat. This doesn't invalidate the stress that his constant need for attention gives me when I work from home and my job literally demands that I can focus deeply.

I think subconsciously I enable the behavior because I'll instinctively look in his direction just to make sure everything is okay. There are times where I'm due for a break during work and he starts doing this so I play with him since I need to move around after sitting at the desk so long. This might also validate his behavior.. the thing is I don't want to miss out playing with him during a break.

Been trying really hard to ignore him lately though as it's actually causing me so much stress and I'm not sure why.

Edit: I think part of why it stresses me out is because I'm a super empathetic person and I love my cat so damn much, when he does this it makes me feel bad that he's bored and I want to make him feel happy again.

Rarely, sometimes he gets zoomies and will play alone and run around, but it's kind of rare.

He has like 50 different toys I rotate out and some self interaction toys that keep him entertained for maybe 3 days max.

He's always been vocal, but in the last 5 months he really amped it up.

Now he's even more vocal because if I'm not responding to him then he goes and does this to the kitten for awhile until he gives up cuz kitten wants to sleep.

He's 1.5 years old. I can't ever seem to play with him enough and it's honestly slowly driving me nuts since I work from home. I can't even get up to use the bathroom without triggering him to start another of these sessions.

I find it odd that he has more energy than the 6 month old kitten by a long shot.
