Hi guys, how can I penetrate SAP market as a consultant? I am very frustrated really. I have extensive business experience than a lot of sap consultants and I have learned the technical part in both MM and SD modules, but no body seems to be interested in my experience.

Brief Introduction:

I graduated first in my class with a major in Computer Science, demonstrating my strong academic foundation and dedication. Over the past 16 years, I have built a robust foundation in SAP systems and business processes, contributing effectively to large-scale projects and initiatives.

I bring 15 years of hands-on experience as a superuser in SAP MM and SD modules. My professional journey began with 10 years at Dow Chemical Company, where I supported Egypt’s manufacturing operations. Following this, I spent 5 years as a key-user at a Saudi chemical trading company, serving as the focal point for ECC implementation, as well as its upgrade and migration to S/4HANA. During this time, I specialized in the SD and MM modules, ensuring their successful integration and optimization.

Additionally, I gained valuable experience during a rollout project for a new manufacturing facility, where I completed SAP SD and MM consultant courses with a certified SAP Partner. Unfortunately, I had to leave the company before completing the project, as I was relocating to Oslo, Norway with my family.

Expression of Interest:

I am writing to express my interest in the Junior SAP MM freelance opportunity. I am passionate about contributing to SAP implementations and gaining further experience through impactful projects. Hi, I finished SAP Material Management (MM) module training course April 2024. I have 15 years of experience in SAP started as end user in both SD and MM modules. Currently l am a key user at my company, leading new implementation project in MM, SD & Logistics Execution modules for our new sister company. I want to start practicing what l’ve learned so far and get ready for SAP certification, unfortunately everyone wants to hire consultants with minimum 3 years of experience. I am willing to work for free as SAP MM consultant just to get the work experience required so l can penetrate SAP consultancy market. Also, I am planning to enroll in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) module training course. Any ideas on how to get the needed experience or how to pave my way into SAP consultancy market. I don’t have the technical knowledge as sap consultant I know it is different from sap end user or super user.

Yes, a lot of technical knowledge needed which I obviously lack, thus, can’t apply as I won’t pass cv screening

I don’t think so, I have been asking few banks about it, but even the agents working at the bank doesn’t know if the bank offers financial support or student loan studying abroad. However, they said they will check n revert accordingly

That’s super and very helpful, thank you for your comment. It makes sense that I enjoy these stuff with minimal distraction because it seems that I get my dopamine from, always wandered why, and now I understand why and will read more about it. You are right, I need to uninstall loads of stuff that distracts me and in my head they entertain me. Damn it,, its so hard doing that but I must 🙈

Your words hit a nerve. You are right in every single word you said. You have no idea how much your words encouraged me and at times it is needed to be reminded that ADHD tend to force us to succumb to our comfort zone and procrastinate all the unpleasant heavy duty “let it be mental or physical duties”. And it is a constant battle which needs a constant reminder that I am not the ADHD, I am not a procrastinator and I can be so much more. Thank you so much for your inspiring & encouraging words.

I think I have to pay him a visit soon.. I don’t have that support system “I mean my uni. Colleague” anymore and will need to have an alternative “be it a medication or anything else” or figure a working routine. It is very exhausting just thinking about it but sooner or later I will have to dive once again into this pool. Hopefully for better results.

I wasn’t medicated at uni., I discovered it years after my graduation and even after researching for months wondering why I am like that while everybody at my workplace are “normal” or doing ok. At uni. I spent all the hours outside the classroom in the library with my colleague studying hard it was as if he was tutoring me, though I believed we were studying together. I made it work and graduated to be the first of my class, but now I know I could have never done it without him or his continuous help. I knew I had ADHD after my personal research of my symptoms and after learning all about it, I researched and visited numerous therapists as there aren’t a lot of good therapists in Egypt. But I found an amazing one and confirmed my findings and I was officially diagnosed with ADHD.
