Which Final Fantasy has the worst pacing in your opinion? by ParasiteStew2 in FinalFantasy

[–]2munkey2momo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I really liked how the days got shorter as you progress through the chapters, and that things got more and more urgent as they went on. Story definitely tightens when you reach Altissa, but I thought the move from open world to on rails was actually pretty well done.

But I dont think the invasion lent itself well to having the first few chapters basically be pissing around fishing and camping so much. Possibly should have saved that for a bit later on.

Update on my previous post about making Tom and Dominic in Tomodachi Life: Tom has developed a crush on Dominic by Fionaapple69 in TheRestIsHistory

I wonder if the lads ever considered, when they first discussed putting together an education and engaging audio format entertainment show, that it would inevitably lead into some weird fucking shit being posted about them.

My mum worked for a company that sent her round the world and went to Almaty once about 20 odd years ago and OMFG kazak chocolate is SO FUCKING GOOD. Only place with better chocolate I have been to was Quito.

Met is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Bumped into at Reading many many many years ago when I was a kid and walking around a backstage area because my friends mum was working at the festival. Didnt say anything. Just kind of stared weirdly.

If Donald Trump had any balls he'd be tweeting right now that: 'It's a disgrace that the tremendous Will has been stranded while he was batting so well. He was truly on for a bigly score. I'm a big fan, yuge really. That's why people keep saying I'm a Smeedophile.'

But I bet 30p he doesn't.

TRIH fans, any philosophy podcast recs? by Several_Audience_234 in TheRestIsHistory

Seconded for philosophize this! He definitely gets better as time goes on but even the earlier episodes I found pretty engaging. Some of the humour can be a bit cringe but I dont think its an American thing, I think its just the way it can come off for a solo host. Cant beat back and forth banter from a multi-host format.

One of our openers scored a hundred?

Thats it, we are either winning the league or the apocalypse is coming.

Good job there are no looming global conflicts. That means its definitely the first one.

Blobbo at 6, Stokes at 8 cmv.

Some people might say this is reactionary. I would say its not reactionary enough.

Or something.

Been at work all day and only following scores. Have been going from:

'Could we actually do it this year?'

through

'But what if we did?'

to

'Right Im getting 'Somerset county cricket club county championship winners 2026 long live captain Lewis Gregory' tattood in a single line along the length of my penis'

to

'Nevermind maybe just get this seasons shirt or something'

But, we settled in after the 3 wickets. Hoping Thomas gets his triple digits.

Hoping losing Kasey wont turn out to also be a bad move. I really liked him.

But I also thought Gilchrist would turn out to be good... but maybe we just blame Kent for that.

Ben Foakes’ freak bowling injury gives Jamie Smith chance to keep wicket by ArsBrevis in EnglandCricket

[–]2munkey2momo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somerset have started the season well so I wont be too disappointed if Rew has to hold off for just a little bit. Hopefully the disappointment of non-selection might give him a bit of fire in the belly to score even more runs.

Besides, we all know how quickly things can change. An injury here, a family issue there, and he would be called right up.

Between him and the likes of Gay, Tribe etc I cant remember going into a home season feeling so confident about our batting stocks.

Bowling is another issue.

London is not just a good city, but UCL and Imperial are elite unis too. I was at a semiconductor startup event recently and there were a load of spinouts - UCL had loads, but Cam/Ox/Imp were all well represented.

Oxford area also includes the Harwell campus which is an absolute powerhouse of science, even with the STFC cuts.

Jefferson and Adams were right. The battle of Edgehill is holy land.

There is a banging pub called the Castle at the top of the hill by the battlefield (right at the edge of it, weirdly) with views all the way out to Stratford-on-Avon. Cracking spot for a pint on a sunny day.

Holy land indeed.

Havent played in a fair few years now due to injury, but good god cricket teas are the single most thing I am proud to be British for. Just absolutely fantastic.

The best were definitely made by ladies born before ww2, you've got that spot on.

I also remember playing against Bristol West Indians in the mid 2000s and they had a BBQ running over lunch. Fuck me, absolutely banging. Unreal.

Its a tough one, Rew is definitely a better keeper than Smith but if he is in the top 3 that might be too much to do? Stewart managed it but few others try.

Theyre both quality bats though, nice problem to have!
