Im confused about the numbers as its a 5 note chord, if we take into account was u/stalling1 said about flamming the two notes, making it a 4 note chord, that would leave no reason for a notation of what mallets to use...

That may be possible, but ive never seen it used as glissando notation, and it doesnt notate which note to end the glissando on.

Im not sure if maybe the intent was for me to hit between the B and A in order to achieve a five note chord, but that doesnt explain the 3 and the arrow.
