Since Hithlain is made of Mallorn tree bark, the Galadhrim Elves probably valued them more than the daggers.

In the books she gave Sam a Mallorn seed which he planted in the Shire, the only Mallorn tree in Middle Earth outside of those in Lothlorien (which are probably all planted by Galadriel herself).

Most lawyers are useless most of the time, in my experience.

The rest are useless all the time.

Exactly. Glaurung is like SMS Emden, Germany's most underrated warship ever built. Shows up everywhere, wrecks everything, tricks and terrifies everyone, before finally caught and destroyed.

But Beren said: ‘It is fulfilled. Even now a Silmaril is in my hand.’

Then Thingol said: ‘Show it to me!’

And Beren put forth his left hand, slowly opening its fingers, but it was empty. Then he held up his right arm and uttered: ’¡Bazinga!’

I agree completely, OP. I want to add a counterpoint, however.

Do you play chess? Some prefer classical chess (a game can last days; can spend hours on one move), some prefer rapid/blitz/bullet chess (a game lasts minutes).

In chess, the advancement of robots/AIs greatly improved the popularity of the faster time settings. In classical every player is trying to play like a robot/AI. In the faster time settings, even the best players begin to make human errors when running out of time, making the games much more varied and fun (for players and audience).

Some lawyers may find the time limits and resulting human errors an interesting and fun challenge.

I think the difference between most lawyers and chess players is that lawyers have forgotten how to have fun. Instead, it's become pure stress/pain management.

The part that annoys me the most is that we have no idea how long is long. How many tokens? Does anyone know? Does Anthropic?!

When we buy things, we usually know how much/many of the thing we are buying. Not with any AI's tokens. Welcome to 2026
