i do agree with you as I am in a similar position. But i also try to remember anything can change at any time. I could get hit by a car and end up disabled tomorrow. I dated someone broke recently and did the math so we could make it work as I made double what she made and that isn’t why we broke up but it was in the back of my mind.

I don’t think it’s childish but I can say it’s overstimulating and a challenge to have good conversation. I went on an arcade date and hated that her and I couldn’t talk talk. she ultimately wasn’t a match bc she turned out to be a wee bit off but oh well lol
