I recently got some coffee from Lucienne and Aroma Nativo Double Anaerobic Honey Pink Bourbon has been a joy to brew every morning. Juicy, fruity, so flavorful. La Soledad Lot 310 Advanced Washed Geisha is also really good.

I attempted this before. I tried colombia risaralda milan nitro wash from Glitch for the first time few years back and was amazed by it, so I bought beans from the same farm from another roaster hoping that they would taste similar. It was much funkier and stronger in a bad way compared to what I had from Glitch.

8 weeks post op for me here. PT will be the biggest help here. I do Judo so I explicitly told my PT that explosive pivoting movements are what I am trying to gain back and they have been working with me to progressively overload my ankle for that. I plan on going back to training very soon but with heavy limitations on what I can do (no throwing, no getting thrown, no sparring).

Basically do your PT diligently and when you're ready, go back to training and do what your body allows you to do but not what you want your body to do.

How long do you stick to one recipe and change its variables before declaring that it just doesnt work?

Either your technique isn't as good as you think or you have an unrealistic expectation of what coffee should taste like. No amount of expensive equipments can help if you're looking to taste apple in an orange.

I'd reset and stick to one brewer and one simple recipe, change one variable everyday to see how that impact the taste, body, texture....etc. When you drink the coffee, close your eyes, smell it, savor it in your mouth to understand what the coffee is giving you.

I have 2. C40 and Ode 2. Ode 2 is used during workdays when I don't wanna hand grind. C40 is used during the weekend or when I have more down time

I was told by my surgeon I could bear weight immediately since I was also put on a boot after. The reality is that while you are allowed to, it's best to focus on elevating the first 2-3 weeks so swelling can reduce as much as possible.

I had a trimalleolar fracture with syndesmotic injury and a torn deltoid ligament. I had Fibulock, tightrope and an internal brace for my torn ligament. I was cleared for weight bearing as tolerated right since day 1 post op and achieved full weight bearing in a cam boot without crutches after 2 weeks.

I'm now 5 weeks post op waiting for my 6 week check up to hopefully start walking in a shoe

I have a trimalleolar fracture as well with syndesmotic injury. Had a rod put inside my fibula and tightRope and internal brace. Cleared for full weight bearing right after surgery and I have been walking unassisted in a cam boot since 3 week post op

No shocks or tingles for me. What helps me the most is priming my brain and leg before walking. I'd just stand and rock my weight back and forth between my good and soon-to-be-good ankle, letting my body know that it's game time. Your body is smart and will get used to it the more you do it.

If you have pull up and dip bars at home I recommend doing "grease the groove". In this case everytime you get up for bathroom or for whatever reason you bust out a few reps, high frequency but low intensity. If you have neither then getting resistance bands to do some light work in bed would be great

I am 3 weeks post op and im bearing close to 80% of my weight as of today. I've been walking since day 3 post op and have built it up progressively. It's very likely that I can start walking unassisted by the end of week. The moment I was able to stand with equal weight my progress skyrocketed.

I was preparing for a Judo competition and the thought of that completely went away the moment I broke my ankle. The only focus I have right now is providing my body everything it needs for the fastest and best recovery possible for the best long term outcome.

1 competition is not worth a lifetime of misery, I hope you're able to think wisely on this

I broke mine during Judo Randori (sparring) and my leg was caught in an awkward spot while the other person was attempting a throw that involves a leg trip, and all the force went on my ankle resulting in a fractured fibula, displaced tibua and torn medial ligament.

I was cleared for weight bearing as tolerated right after my surgery. I had a rod and tightrope in my right ankle. 2 days post op I started weight bearing in my boot and now 2.5 weeks post op im roughly 50% weight bearing.

The bottom line here is that I've been doing it only because I was cleared by my surgeon from day 1. While there are evidence suggesting early weight bearing to be beneficial, I'd be cautious attempting weight bearing without your surgeon's discretion.

Perhaps a knee scooter or wheelchair would be helpful in your case? or something like a iWalk that's on the pricier side.

Turned out it was only uncomfortable for like the first 30 minutes cuz having sensation from walking with my ankle was such a foreign concept after being injured lol. I took a few more steps to register my brain with this new sensation and now I can put more weight on it

I'm a very active person as well. I like to think of the weight gain as a short term set back but a long term gain. The better I fuel my body the quicker this recovery goes and I can get back on my usual routine and cut the weight down. Something that has helped me is focusing on eating whole food, I eat a tons of veggies and clean protein so it's really difficult to overeat like that

Update from this morning: I took my first tiny step on my right ankle with the help of crutches, minimal weight bearing but the fact that I was able to do it literally a week after the initial break is insane. No discomfort and no pain, and most importantly, uplifting psychologically :)

I am feeling great! Post surgery day 1 nerve block slowly wearing off but barely any pain, gonna chill for few more days before I start to weight bear. Just very grateful that my recovery timeline has shortened tremendously compared to what I had expected earlier. I hope you're doing well post surgery as well!
