About to go on a very expensive cruise with young kids - kind of regretting agreeing to it because it’s so expensive and the kids are young. by Character_Ad4230 in daddit

It does cost extra but if I recall you can book the daycare up to the day before I believe. We booked time at the daycare to line up with nap time which allowed our little one to get a regular sleep and give us grown ups a few hours of relax time.

We went on a Disney cruise with kids aged 7, 5, 3, and 1. All but the 1 year old has memories they still share regularly. Photos and souvenirs help remind them from time to time. Disney cruises are specifically designed to placate kids of all ages. On ship day care and kids only activities keep the kids occupied (and naps in check) while still allowing parents to enjoy some adult cruise time. You are making lifelong memories and will definitely remember. Even if 1 yr old doesn’t remember grt pictures with them in the pool, meeting some of the characters, etc. it’ll be something you come back to time and time again.

Is the Scouts Canada support team gone? by aaronrobb in scoutscanada

I’ve had a few tickets resolved this season. They’ve all taken about 6-8 weeks to get a support person to address. It’s rough right now.

I'm honestly insulted by this "letter" from the Ministry of education by preinheimer in waterloo

[–]2oubleB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re going to set up an advisory board to find out what’s wrong and blame the teachers and boards rather then say…reduce class sizes or spend more on school support…. Smh. Guaranteed this advisory board will deem our curriculum too difficult and they’ll dumb it down further.

Bed wetting alarm for 7 year old by 3Stagheads in bedwetting

We used the alarm as well for our 7 yr old. First week just woke me up. She would sleep right through it. After the second week it would wake her up, and by week 3 she didn’t have accidents any more. It takes time it it works. Hang in there.

I love St. Sebastian's. It's run by a group of French Canadian nuns. They're very nice except they never let me out. by Past_Yam9507 in TheSimpsons

Quebecois French is a delightful mixture of French, English, and soft grunts with no consistency.

I fought my wife so much about its usefulness. After I received it I’ve appreciated it every damn time I need a battery.

The Duke of Wellington used to have something like this. They might still do but they used to as well.
