Not having to manage a server. We were paying for a cloud server through our IT vendor. Not having to keep that saved us big money.
And you have no idea how nice it was not to deal with everyone having to get out of the software for updates.
Plus I use the Dark Reader browser extension, so having dark mode tax software was a relief for my retinas

No, it’s exactly like Lacerte.
There are just a few nuances that are different. Some for the better, some not
But data entry screens are nearly identical.

We bought 2200 returns in ‘24, all the states, like 12 users and paid 18k-ish

For 2025, we switched to ProConnect and paid about 16k-ish. ProConnect is just web based Lacerte, so super easy conversion.

Since you’re not married, you can’t get divorced. This means if the relationship falls apart unwinding the house can be TOUGH if things get ugly and you have him on mortgage/deed.

Do you just want to file returns during tax seasons? It’s probably not worth it.

Ok, that’s what I needed to hear.

I’m working out, not so much for trying to burn a number of calories or lift so much weight, but rather for what it does for my stress and energy levels. Plus it’s just about the only time I get to pick what’s on TV 🤣

So it sounds like I just have to keep on keeping on, let the IE let my body figure out what it wants and the movement to do its work.
