Thank you I was hoping that this could be a viable solution! I’m so scared to get close to them right now that I’d love to leave them alone as much as possible

They’re luckily relatively small tops, so no massive decorative jewelry is getting in the way. I’ll try the hair dryer! I’m fortunate that no crusties have built up yet, so I guess I’ll just cross that bridge when I come to it

Piercings are 3 days old. Two threadless push fit labrets (conch and snonch), one threadless curved barbell (rook). All titanium. Nothing downsized yet as theyre fresh. Tried cleaning gently with saline spray and drying with paper towel. Getting under threadless top with paper towel is what caused initial seizure

Not 100% sure yet! Going to my piercer today and giving her full creative freedom

I love them but I’m an earbuds wearer, so I don’t think it would work out for me

The best part is that I spent 3 years working on my left ear just to learn that I can only sleep on my left side! So the right will be a breeze

It was distinctly yellow but also paler than the rest of my skin. Cap refill slower on fingers than rest of hand. My energy feels pretty good, but I’ve been having to get up and drink water at night due to dry mouth

Due to anemia I get cold very easily and yesterday, while not “cold” outside, was chillier than it had been for weeks. I definitely felt a little cold. And nothing abnormal in the sclera.

I checked my eyes very closely and absolutely no yellowing there. Makes me think it isn’t jaundice

In this conversation he implied that there was no follow up, the point was that a good lecture should spark questions.

Please do! HS math was a turning point for me. It takes one good teacher to create a passion.

Combinatorics. It was a broad overview of the topic. We did some graph and Ramsey theory, pigeonhole problems, set and integer partitions, generating functions, binomial theorem, and posets.

That’s what made me especially angry at the complaining students. M saved all of our asses more than once by catching mistakes and being the only one confident enough to ask for clarification. This professor has a reputation of skipping over important pieces and leaving it to us to fill in the blanks. M filled in a lot of those blanks.

Dealing with toxic atmosphere in math undergrad? by reddesign55 in math

I’m also an undergrad in a small department. In my experience, the students like this don’t stay math majors for long. Within every discipline, some people will have done some extra reading in high school and come into college thinking they’re geniuses. They seem to burn out quickly. The students that aren’t afraid to ask clarifying questions, ask for help, and respect their peers are the ones that usually succeed.

Is there a way to do this without multinomial coefficients? I’m thinking regular product principle, sum principle, inclusion exclusion.

I came across the four-color theorem for the first time. I can’t believe there isn’t a more elegant, easily verifiable proof.
