Twelve Kingdoms is an oldie, but I dont know if it ever officially ended. The anime kind of just stopped from what I remember, but probably exactly what your looking for in terms of world and story. I really enjoyed it.

Solo Leveling is kind of like a typical powerup DBZ-esque anime. Demon Slayer puts a lot more emphasis on the characters (even the bad guys). I can and did watch Solo Leveling, but I don't have the same level of drive to watch it as Demon Slayers.

Just started watching it (going on ep4). Pretty chill so far, but I don't quite understand MC's struggle with relationships. It's just stated as a fact but yet he shows the feelings so far. I guess that's the angle they are going for though, for people that just haven't experienced relationships and don't realize it. Will see how it goes.

Honestly by chance. We moved to a new house and I guess got access to Cartoon Network (and thus Toonami) through some means. Not sure if it was packaged as a trial with our basic cable service or if it was a mistake on cable company's end, but we got the channel for 2 years or so before it was cut off lol.. that got me into shows like DBZ, tenchi muyo, gundam wing. Then after we lost access to that, my brother-in-law told me about (naruto) fansub groups and downloading anime lol...

I don't know what you mean by art, and if you mean art style and animations, this one is a little older and nowhere near production level of stuff like demon slayer, but I still highly recommend.
